    and most of all, those that boast the most, normally do the least I dont think iam a boaster ol chap but hey as the other guy said there is alot of talkers on here that dont manage to get out of the chair or in some cases may not even own a gun you dont know me and i dont know you, but i have a real feeling that your would like to think you can do it better and maybe you can but i have my doubts because i know how darn good i am !!!

(Matlock) but yes i think that the .22lr ammo is generally made on a budget. on the other hand its a bit of a gamble ie. getting a good ammo / barrel / trigger rifle combo. the .22lr semi auto anshutz i had before my browning was rubbish. in what ever ammo i used. i would be lucky to get 2.5 - 3 inch groups at 60 yards. i find eley is the best ammo .22lr i can find in my gun for consi

    Rws are the best rounds i have found by far at the moment very good and the most consistant i have found but i have not used eleys yet, people do seem to rate them.

Rimmies are shit past 90 yrds or so, the ammo WILL NOT BE CONSISTANT! and any blawbag that says otherwise is a richmcgin I once shot a 125yrd rabbit with the rimmy, but it will not do it again and again,, Being heckled by the missing link again !!!

    still dont see the relivence of the £2 coin the kill zone on a rabbit is bigger than that may be that size for a head shot but certianly not the body zone. Are you saying that you couldnt kill a rabbit clean at 100yrd Tegater.? I do how ever agree with the centiment those that can, can those that cant, just cant.

    I agree but your not looking for a group your looking for a single shot into an area of about 2 inch you need to try it on paper, Sure you wont get it straight away but you will learn quick, as long as you have a sound approach and treat every shot a single kill not part of a group you will be surprised.

    Dunc u just need to learn a bit about you rifle bud, fair enough if you cant manage it, but i can for certian say that your rifle can as long as you have ammo that your rifle likes. your going to miss a few but you can do that at any range. i see alot of people on here saying about rabbits shot at 200yrd+ with a HMR um now that seems along way to me with a bullet that gets deflected if a robin farts in the next town at that range. I suppose it all comes down to those can do and those that cant dont, simple as that. And yes if you cant shoot a rabbit at 100yrd with a .22LR you should go back

    the thing is most experienced shoots want a clean kill wether that be rimmy,fullbore or shotgun, as for long range paper targets,they dont run off mate when not dropped first shot. you need to keep up and make sure you have read all my posts before you have dig me ol mate or u will look a monkey!

    I just find it hard to believe that with so many experienced shooters on here people still have problems accepting that .22lr is effective at 100yrd plus. get out there learn what your rifle can do, i spent 4 hours yesterday messing with my 22 and my shotgun at paper targets at varing ranges just for the fun of it and after all the years i have been shooting shotgun i would never have guessed that 5`s will still give a reasonable pattern at 70yrds, me iam terrible with a shotgun so i would never have a go at that range but i know that a better shot than me could bag a rabbit that far out. play

    popping holes in targets is one thing, doing it in the field is another matter, i can group CCi velocitors 1.5 inch at 150yrds but i wouldnt use them to try and kill any thing at that range, on the other hand i group subs at 75yrd about an inch but because of the ground i shoot 75% of all my kill shots are 100yrds or over, As hunters we dont need to group shots on a target we need to achieve single kill shots. Targets make you too fussy and you cant rely on the results being tranfured into hunting. My 223 shot a 0.184 group at 100yrds two days later i missed a kill shot on a foxes chest a g
