  3. Sounds like it feels nice on her teeth to me, swallowing something in its mouths just a natural reaction. It could also be the salt, my staff used to lick the walls in our back garden when the salt came to the surface. Just try to keep an eye on here and give it as many alternative chews as you can.
  4. If I wanted a dog for protection I'd opt for a Boerboel or Cane Corso. If we wants a good dog he'll have to pay. I dont understand why he wants a dog because hes moved into a racist area though, what helps a dog going to be when his kids play out, or he walks the shop? It'd be different if there had been a spate of break ins locally like.
  5. Thanks for the reply mate. It's not something I plan to do but I thought I'd ask out of interest.
  6. Im in the process of turning my shed into a kennel and run, its in need of a lick of paint and was wondering what im best treating it with?

  12. I like the sound of the ticking clock method there.
  13. its been outside all of its short life, thankfully. He's still quiet now!
  14. Thats a shame mate. We've been offered a 3 year old working bull x minshaw so if it does turn into a problem we could always go down the route of pairing them up.
  15. Saluki Grey x Bull Grey mate. 11 weeks old. He doesnt seem to be clingy at all, but He's only been with us a couple of days. Our patterdale had a habit of shitting and walking it all round his crate, but when he clicked on thats where he ate an slept he started holding it in!
  16. I know mate, I honestly wouldnt mind listening to it all night its just the neighbours, haven't lived here long!

  18. I know a lad who said when his pups cried he swilled them with a bucket of water and they didn't cry again, any experience?
  19. He's got beef and biscuits, and a nice warm blanket. I've even thrown a hot water bottle in there with him but he doesnt sound happy! Suppose I'll just have to try and ignore him and hope the neighbours do too lol!
  20. I've got a pup in a kennel alone for the first time tonight and he's making a lot of noise, any ideas on how to shut him up before the neighbours intervene?
