  1. Good point, a coursing dog version of plummers fell terrier
  2. Nice looking dog, bet it's good on the big ears
  3. The American badger is lower set and stockier than the Eurasian but it as a smaller and weaker skull and jaw. I bet the only way they are finished by a dog is if they are taken by the throat or the guts
  4. Pure bulldogs are not guaranteed to finish old Brock, the dogs have got to have the know how!
  5. Just wondered if anyone as tried this cross? I've heard nothing but good things of it, apparently they are that long that they encircle the quarry with their body and make the strike, your opinions please, no wise guys!
  6. I've heard there easier than the Eurasian badger, still a force to be reckoned with nevertheless
  7. Put it this way, I'd prefer my dogs to have a peaceful ending than a life of uncertainty and possibly cruelty!
  8. This culling business is what gave us the gamest breed on earth, what do you think sled dogmen do when their huskies can no longer do the job? It's harsh but it is in some cases imperative
  9. Bull is put into a cross to add drive, gameness, power etc. the average shitty bull will still have more of these traits than many other breeds.
  10. Really would love a well bred hare dog but I'm in two minds with me working away regular
  11. Agree but makes you laugh with all the youngens walking round with so called bull crosses that are from fat petbulls
  12. It's true! One lad I know as just bred a bullx litter, I asked if the bull was a decent dog. He replied " it's a big un" without their gameness and drive their just any other dog. Saying that the not so good to average bulldogs gameness will be way ahead of other dog breeds except the good old working terriers
  13. Most bulldogs over here are fat barrels and even more lurchers are bred from them. My mates litter all were useful animals. My bros dogs intensity and drive is amazing for such a big dog, puts many to shame. The American bulldog over here is a pretty recent craze and true working relatives of dogs over the states will be much nearer generation wise than the working bulldogs that came over here in the 80s. Gameness is so hard to find and it is easily lost. Offcourse if you can find a genuine bulldog to cross to than that is the dog to have
  14. seen american bulldog crosses mate there jacking poo mate I've seen bull x screaming like a banshee when toe to toe with a fox, your point being?
  15. Many have been matey, the line of dogs I have go back to the 70's, the bull cross to the 's and they have been bred best to the best since the line was founded, not by me I might add! Just look at the coursing bred dogs, those lads have bred best to the best for many years too, and their dogs are fine athletes, and great at their job. Same can be said for all sporting diciplines. It really baffles me why folk still pump out first cross lurchers? Madness What cross are yours going back to the 70s Im not knocking you but a fool and his money are easily parted, its hard to take someon
  16. My brothers got an American bulldog and he's got more drive and intensity than any bulldog I've seen put to a greyhound in 10 years, finding a bulldog of good quality is as rare as rocking horse shit. The lurchers off these american bulldogs are good, they appear to be quicker than the bull x

  19. Just imagine how good lurchers nowadays would be if every dog was bred best to best from the start purely for performance
