Lizerlite and blazelite for me are rubbish...tried both and not what I won't from a lamp...to much light spill half the field lit up not good. Would go for a light force 170 or tracer 170 with dimmer.

Gain 20.......28......and record breaker which is the best of them.....they do puppy and sapling as well.

I've got the tracer 170 vp with a 14amp lithium battery and think it's spot on...don't think there's much in them...the tracer has a 75w bulb and light force 100w....I ordered the light force to be honest with you but it was faulty straight out the box (wiring) so send it back and got the tracer instead.

Vertical filament 75w about £7 not sure about the 100w.

agouti mate... the only thing I can think of is the tension it's been put on the spool...might try pre loading some needles to let it settle.

yes mate the needles loaded of a spindle....you can pull six foot of the spool then fold it in half and the two just spin round each other.

Has anyone else had a problem with spun poly... I've made hundreds of hemp net but thought I'd try some poly.... I just can't stop the bloody stuff twisting.... throw a loop and it just spins round it's self like I've never seen before. Cheers fez.

Do mine twice a year but never shave them, always strip them out by hand much better.

I've got the tracer 170 with dimmer and have no problem with it, before that had the old blue eye. Stay away from lazer lite.

Second that most time take no filter atall jus very dim and picks up the eyes perfect I use an amber filter but mainly for protection to lens, always have lamp as dim as possible then crank it up just before the run.

More to do with the dulling of the light than the colour, a lamp with a dimmer is just as good.

I like the record breaker when in work , then switch to 28 mixed with 20 threw the summer.

I've got a nice little bitch bread very similar, 5/8 greyhound 3/8 collie x Mike brown whippet just under 23" doing well on the lamp.

I have the tracer variable and have no complaints at all.

A 75watt drains 6amps an hour but the 100watt drains 8amps an hour.

I've got tracer 170 with dimmer and 14 amp lithium and is plenty for me ,I only charge it after 2 lamping trips. You should get 7.9 hours lamping of one charge and its a nice size. Cheers

8amp will do 3 hours lamping with a 170 lamp 4 hours with a 140 lamp And 6 hours with a lazer light.
