  2. I need to make up some rabbit snares tonight for use tommorow Ive got some twisted wire which i will double up, how long does it need to be ??? How many should i make ???? Can i use a fishing swivel for the eye ?? Leon

Just found the wire and made a snare from it, tied to one end is a large fishing swivel and for the runner i used a smaller swivel Its about 12 inches long Now i just need to tie a bit of cord to the large swivel and i will be sorted How long should it be ??? Where do i set it ??? Ive got quite a bit of wire left so might make a rabbit snare out of it by doubling it up and twisting it Leon

After reading lots of threads on ratting recently its really got me wanting to go out and kill some dirty great feckers  I have a bull terrier but was thinking more along the lines of rat snares, ive read you can make them out of fishing line, this a good way ??? How often do i check them and where do i place them ??Ive seen loads near the woods where they feed the pheasants and ive watched them climb up the sweetcorn plants, knock the actuall sweetcorn off onto the floor and then feed on it.Cheers Leon

  9. Mole catcher you have PM I used to have alot of paracord but it all got used up on various things. Is it any good for netting ? Cheers for the offer stubby but i havent got any permission and not sure i'd be able to get it Would be good though Leon

  14. Sounds like a great idea to me, I know what you mean about young people who want to get into the sport but dont know how or have any contacts as i am one of them lmao. If anybody around Ipswich way would be willing to take me out with them i would be more than greatfull (not meaning to sound rude lol) Leon

  19. I read in the paper that a penisoner swung her dog lead round and hit the boar on the snout with the metal bit and this was enough to deter the boar Leon

  21. Hi guys, dont post here that much but thought somebody here would be able to help me out. I would love to make a nice slingshot that would last for years It will be used for woodies so the bands will need to be fairly powerfull. I cant pay as it needs to be done without mum knowing but i can offer something for trade, just say what you want and i'll see what ive got Also any tips on making one would be great Cheers Leon
  22. Hi, in a little while i will be looking to buy a dog, i was settled on the labrador but then thought something a bit faster could be usefull for lamping so is there a lab X that is fast enough for lamping ? it needs to be good as a gundog aswell leon
  23. Thanks mate i live in a large village in suffolk theres no big estates but the land in the village is split into three or four main farmers i will go there on sunday after work about 2 pm and see what happens thanks leon
