    Then tell anyone that would listen that they were his line of black dogs,also he had a litter of pups[black] that he wanted to go to good working homes and when a couple of lads looked to be interested,suddenly he wanted £250 each for them,then tryed to say they were a family members that had fallen on bad times,money grabbing prat.     It could be misconstrued in a lot of ways, for instance i could have meant i do terrierwork to rabbits, to squirrels or unicorns, and hunt all the above with my hounds. At no point have i mentioned going against any laws. If any of the moderators thought i should 'think' more before i type, and "misconstrued" anything i have typed im sure my post would have been zapped. RP

    GTE you misunderstand me, i havent admitted to any said act, i carry out terrierwork within the law as and when, and with two hounds as the law permits. I do plenty of thinking, hence i rarely post on here, and never post photos. Unfortuntely its the way the Countrys gone, trust no one. RP

    Forgive me here guys, but as the law stands (my interpretation) is that terrierwork is only permitted I.e entering a dog to an occupied (fox) earth, for the protection of ground nesting birds/game birds.,(I.e an estate) and dosent permit you to enter a terrier where on farmland i.e for protection of sheep/lambs? In which event the Mirrors report in saying "The 2004 Hunting Act , which banned hunting foxes with a pack of hounds, doesn't cover the use of dogs to flush out animals underground" is wrong.     Scent had been very inconsistent until Sunday. Had a late start in the morning, rose at about 12.30 and flew for best part of 3 hours, matey was clever and ran through a large field of sheep on three separate occasions which lost hounds some time, eventually they hit it off well again and put a fair bit of pressure on him, subsequently putting him in and accounting for. Hopefully a sign of scent improving and making for better days to come. RP

    Congrats mate, your the first one! !!i knew there would be a comment or too about that!!! Your very right, i agree, no panic, it will be having some angle grinder treatment when i get a moment, didnt have it in my heart to tell my mate who done it it was on a tad on the spear side, seeing as he done it for nothing.     I won't get drawn into any arguments, we're all different and have different ways of working, just like the dogs we use. I always have a bar with me,aswell as other tools, and always will. But thats just me. Were all in the game for similar reasons whether you dig and let your quarry run or you dispatch it, it all involves working your dogs in the way which you were taught. Lets not all fall out over a T-bar please!! In the meantime, for those who want to see pics,bear with me ill get some pics up shortly. ATB RP

    no offence intended here gents, but i cant believe the amount of people who havent seen/used one whilst out! Very uselful tool, for various reasons as others have said, finding tube, listening to dog, etc etc. Dog in, wait for it to settle, find a mark, drop bar in (obvioulsy gently as your breaking into tube) and listen to see whats happening. sometimes if your quarry is not quite bottled up, the noise of you barring etc will move them on tighter (or move althogether), saves you starting to dig and getting to say 18", only for ypur quarry to move say a foot or two and you having to s

    Wouldnt be without it,just made another one for carrying in the box on the quad, bought some 16mm stainless steel, bought a length of 1.5m, cut it at 1.1 (just right for the box) used the left over 0.4 for the cross piece, got my mate whos shit hot at all metalwork/welding to weld for me and taper the end, spot on job fair play. ill put some pics up 2moz, if you want one made and sent to you pm me and ill price it up for you with delivery. any length and diameter steel, personally i think 16mm is just right and not heavy at all (especiall in the quad box!)
