    polyporus squamosus (dryads saddle) grows up to 60 cm across in clumps, its ochre cap flecked with dark scales to resemble cork and a whitish underside. on broad leaves trees especially elm beech sycamore from spring to autumn. choose young ones and stew them thoroughly
