Cockers don't smash every bit of cover they come to they hunt on scent.like I said he should read up the info on the section written by lads that know rather than me writing 300 words about what I read rather than first hand knowledge,I ain't here to try impress anyone it was one of many points id read and picked up on cheers

best way mate.id only be copying the info written by the lads that have worked and shared their experience of many types certainly lot longer than i have,this place full copy and paste merchants to make them feel good lol just take from it what you need and the info given by those that know,works for me

general opinion that adding bit terrier blood steady them up rather than a straight cocker doing loop the loop everywhere it goes wasting time going into every bit cover rather than using its nose,theres pages and pages of info in the section mate,go for it

Yep my 3/4 Collie cross was a fast dog in his day, never saw him outsped when doubled up on a hare. Shame he was a yapper and jacker on the stuff with teeth though ha. proof enough that speed isn't everything

noticed a lot the cocker/terrier types in need of a tidy up,around the ears and chest all down the back of the legs got electric shaver i use on myself so try and give that a go if he dont take to it sharp pair scissors coming his way,dont fancy paying the local pet parlour silly money to make him feel comfortable and pretty lol
