  2. Been keeping an eye on a few places that me and my friend lamp, and am really over happy with the shooshy numbers, that i am more than pleased to say are looking a lot better than previous seasons thank God. I think this 2015 lamping season will be a good one, the numbers are their in strength. We actually left one of our places last year to build back up and so pleased we did ive recently seen very good numbers back their now. Me and my friend was talking the other day about how the summer will soon be over, and getting dogs proper fit for hopefully one of the best seasons for years, we
  3. I was reading a racing greyhound forum and quite a lot on there say they feed brown wholemeal bread which i do myself sometimes, some say pasta and some did not agree with pasta something about the flour used. Do you feed brown bread or pasta to your dogs ?? if so how much pasta,, and would that be mixed with meat,,? would you use before a night out on the lamp. ITS interesting to know the different types of food people feed the dogs cheers SWG DAVE..
  4. After lamping we gut the rabbits, make sure the livers are clean and give the jooks some hearts, livers, and kidneys, they love em, lol.
  5. My question is those of you who run their dogs on a regular basis in the lamping season and work their dogs hard,, do you feed your dogs before or after ??. ONLY i use to run my dogs lamping and feed them on our return home, and my dogs were fit. One night last season my young dog become looking a little bit wobbly, staggering slightly after a hard night, he had run many times before and coped well, but after this funny turn i decided to feed him before lamping say 8 - 9 hours, and thankfully he has always been fine since that night. I know some may not agree with feeding before work

AT THE MOMENT I AM USING A TRACER 150 L E D THAT I PREFER TO THE LIGHT FORCE 170, IT HAS A VERY BRIGHT CLEAR BEAM AND A GOOD SPOT.. THE NEW LAMP SHOULD BE OUT IN TIME FOR SEPT 2015 LAMPING SEASON. AS FOR THE TRACER 210 VARIABLE I HAVE NOT SEEN OR USED ONE,, MAYBE SOMEONE ON HERE CAN HELP,, CHEERS,, SWG DAVE..
  13. A NEW POEM,,, RABBITS BEWARE Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits beware for the poacher is afield out looking for Br,er No nets no guns just lurcher by side eyeing the fields from the woods where they hide He is hawking the ground for a dark windy night that,s when he,ll return well out of sight Keeper and farmer its what you have got that the poacher is wanting to stick in his pot So when farmer,s and keeper,s are resting their heads old poacher is out tucking Br,er in to bed.. SWG DAVE

  15. Lamper,s i was just on Debens website looking at the tracer lithium batteries, and they quote that you get 300 + cycles of recharging them. My question being is how many seasons have you lamper,s had yours for and are they still going strong with no issues, i use the 8ah and have had it just over a season and never run it flat, and that is using a Lightforce 170, and when i use the tracer 150 L E D it hardly uses any power, and thats with a good 3- 4 hours lamping.. It would be of interest to know how many seasons yours have lasted before you had to buy new. Kind Regards, SWG DAVE..

  20. TO CATCH A RABBIT LAMPING ITS IMPORTANT TO FIRST FIND THE FIELDS ON WHICH THEY,RE FEEDING AND ALSO KNOW BEST TIMES. SO BEFORE YOU SET OFF LAMPING WITH THAT VISION IN YOUR MIND OF BAGS AND BAGS OF RABBITS AND YOUR LURCHER.S AT YOUR SIDE. SO ALWAYS DO YOUR GROUNDWORK AND USE IT AS YOUR PLAN AND KEEP YOUR PLACES SECRET DO,NT GO LAMPING IN A CLAN. MAKE SURE YOU FEED YOUR LURCHER,S RIGHT MAKE SURE THEY,RE RUNNING FIT FOR AN UNFIT LURCHER LAMPING THERE,S NOT MUCH POINT IN IT. SO NOW GO RUN YOUR LURCHER,S AND WATCH IN GREAT DELIGHT HOW THAT RABBIT RUNS ACROSS THE FIELD
