    Any good? Yes brilliant for holding up your trousers - there must be other good uses for one as long as it comes no where near a rifle bore. The poster who said it damaged his crown is probably right. For them that use them regularly you will find you hold the rifle pretty much in the same angle each time you use the snake, so unless you pull it through 100% true with the bore, these nylon cords will start to erode the sharp edge of the crown.
