I understand where you are coming from but it would be a very boring site if it was not for these same people.I personaly am fed up of the " lets see your collie crosses" " lets see what dogs you will be running this year" "out for a shine last night" "picks of my pup" these posts may be of interest to the poster and there freinds but to me they are boring, boring boring. To be honest it's these posts that you are downing that I like best .If these posts were "scrutinized by the so called mods" to use your words, and I presume then delated ,this site would be as exciting as the stamp collectin
Would the top photo here be taken near high spy above grange near keswick??
yes it is mate have you been to the top before??
Yes mate several times have permission sort of well more a blind eye down in the valley up to c'crag aint gonna mention the farm but what a gent he is
ps good hunting in the area just watch out for the tourists/ramblers/cnuts
Serious note it is my favourite place in the world I will retire there one day
Another serious not if you're atop c'crag and you see a piece of slate lying around don't lift it up, got caught short  (No friggin d
i hope so mate, so far hes turning out brill... what ever i put him too he is great, lamping, ferreting, charlie, big fellas!! he seems a jack of all trades so far in his career..
No pal they were taken day after.. i only had my phone on me on the night and they take crap pics so i just waited..
we weren't on permission so we lamped from 1am and wrapped up in a couple hours.. we were on the side of a moor at times so it was hard graft not just for catching rabbits but for us walking the fecker haha
I went out for a shine on sunday night, moon was full but there was strong winds and was raining at times.. It was a hard shift for the dog, the rabbits were on the move as soon as the lamp hit them.. The dog has just came back from a minor injury so he wasnt as fit as he should be running these..
The terrain was quite bad to be honest but suited the Collie x....We ended the night on 25 rabbits
i had my bitch out lamping 4 nights in a row last week, then she had a few days off and had a hard night down the dales then the morning i got home had a few hours kip and went and retrieved 2 "big" rabbits.. and i guarantee she would put 100% in everytime...
Cheers Tomo,
i know alot of lads who have witnessed Blue run and they know minshaw very well and ive asked about and they have never heard of it doing 27 hares single handed.. They all said the same thing as me, the best night up our way for hares was with 2 dogs and it was 28..and there was only vic and one other guy and 2 dogs ( Blue & Nipper)
there has been better dogs that were bred out of blue, that put alot more game away than Blue..this was back in the late 80's early 90's imo..
Nowadays with the ban and alot more folk going lamping its a bit harder to come across the same numbers
As for Blue killing 27 hares in a night single handed that is defo not true! First i've ever heard of it!
