  1. The gracilis mussel is a right pain when it goes. my lurcher did her gracilis along with a mussel in the front leg. She was rested for 3 months just lead walking I let her off the lead for the first time and it went again :-( I rehomed mine to a family friend for a pet as she was having trouble with her tendons as well. Atb
  2. I used alco-rub for mussel sprains, fatigue and bruises it can be used for aching joints aswell It works really well and dead cheap its a tenner for 2 litres and lasts forever I've had mine 3 years lol

Glad this has come up I'm buying a greyhound pup soon(just wanting for it to be born) I ain't sure what to do with it yet thou I planed on working it but a few lads have put me off the idear saying there injury prone and daft. So my plan is now to raise it like a lurcher untill it's say 12-15 months old and if it's too daft for the field I'll put it on the flaps or run it on nottingham.atb
  13. Have you tried Botanica Cleansing Wash. Just put 3 or 4 cap fulls in a bucket of warm water and wash the area in that. It seems to work well with skin problems. Use once aday untill it's sorted atb
  14. So, do you reckon one with a history of lameness would be preferable to one which was sound but just 'a bit slow' to make it on the track?no not at all mate. But all the dogs at my kennels have made the track like. If I was around a dog that wasn't fast enough for the track that would of course be the better choice. When I say lame I mean fixable lame for example there's a dog there now with a sprained hock she will run again but age isn't on her side (she's 3) and she was never really anygood anyway so she's been retired.   18. Muzzle mate. If it's that bad tho and you don't want do it the vets will do it my local vets only charge 7 quid atb
