  1. if you have a look at my videos i have no problem with zeroing on any rifle as long as the rifle is already zeroed in correctly it just the same as looking through your scope. and as for big screen you are not looking at a big square screen like some other inferior products.you are looking into a scope eyepiece. i get what you are saying about add ons but i have used both over the years and they all have there drawbacks. but i have found that what most people do is say what they have is best and that is the worst kind of review or advice you can be given. i found the view in the pulsar to
  2. over the years i have owned several night vision units the worst by far was the n550 it was the most awkward to use the controls were in the wrong place so you had to stretch more than was comfortable to adjust the focus on the from right hand side of the scope in fact you had to take the gun out of your shoulder to adjust it then look through it to see if it was in focus the image was very poor for animal recognition. the optical night vision i found better in fact i used my yukon night vision scope more because it was easier to make out what you were looking at because it was an optical
  3. Yokel why wouldn't you use CCI and what principal ? something i should know
  4. Just a quick video of a new recordable night vision spotter from nite-hunter.com i cant wait to get my hands on one of these they are going to be a great asset to my shooting videos. cheers Daz
  5. Hi Emma sounds like you are really into tinkering all you need now is a little milling machine and you can make anything. sorry forgot and some knowledge shame i am not nearer i would be very interest in tinkering i love messing about trying new ideas. i make oak furniture for a living. cheers Daz
  6. Hi Snypercat yes i agree with you it is a drawback with the light shining from the screen but i think the main problem i have is focusing on the screen and lining shots up because i need to were glasses to see the screen (i am getting old) so the sniper cam method means i don't need to wear glasses not that i mind wearing glasses but i don't need them for anything else so i end up taking them on and off and it gets a bit frustrating after a while. a bit like that fella on country file who had to keep taking his glasses on and off how annoying was that every 2 seconds. but i guess its hor
  7. i thought i would add a little to this post,i have been using the Sniper Cam for ages now and in all conditions it works perfectly i have used it in a blizzard shooting rats i have used it for reasonable 22lr range rabbit shooting and found it to be very very easy to use. you just turn it on and by way of a wired remote you just press it to record and press it again to stop i cant see how it can be any simpler to be honest. i am not sponsored in anyway by Nite Hunter but just feel that his product is far superior to the competition its easier to use less cumbersome and you feel like you are
  8. Morning Ken I pick up another permission yesterday a teacher that works with my sister wants me to go out into her village and shoot rabbits for her. she as got horses so i am hoping like you she has friends that have horses and want there bunnies bashing. its a village i have been trying to get into for years but i have never knocked on any doors there because i knew if one said no they would of all said no. so i am now glad i waited strange how things happen sometimes. Daz
  9. Hi ken i have just been out and shot a couple of pigeons today so i am going to make your pasties wish me luck
  10. Hi Ken i think i am going to get a burger press and a mincer because i love burgers and sausages and they are not to expensive to make yourself plus you know what goes into them if you make your own. Cheers Daz
  11. andy glad i just read this thread i was looking at some cci to have a go with because they are cheap but i think i will give them a miss and stick to my SK i dont know what price they are now until i go and get some maybe today. i will keep you posted. Shergar i can alway get a brick for you if the price is right and drop them off on my way past if you want. Cheers Daz
  12. ime coming to your house for tea its breakfast time and i am now fancying rabbit burgers and pasties with chorizo funny enough i was looking last night at burger presses and sausage machines weird that isn't it. do you use a standard burger press and do you make your pastry or buy it in. thank you for that ken much appreciated Daz
  13. i usually get mine from Davey And Son at Wykeham near scarborough i am not sure if they are cheap but its close to me. a lot of people say SK are dirty but i don't find them to be to bad i try not to clean the barrel too much because that gives inconsistent accuracy i find its better to let the barrel bed in after cleaning and then just leave it until the accuracy starts to wander. thats why some people say some rounds are better than others they clean their gun then fire a certain type of ammo through it and find its not to accurate then they try another type of ammo and after a few type
  14. i get your point but you just cant do the numbers we do every week with dogs. and the amount of land we have to cover is vast you would never get round it all if you were using dogs. going out with dogs and seeing them work is fantastic fun and great for the dogs but what we do is more of a serious job really than fun. thank you for watching glad you enjoyed the video maybe you could do a video of dogs working i think it would be very popular i for one would like to watch it. Cheers daz
  15. Ken does your butcher ask for a game dealers licence or will they just take them anyway. i know some butchers are more fussy than others. burgers is a very good idea do you have to add some fat to the burgers or are they ok as is. Cheers Daz
  16. Shergar thats the only thing i don't like about the sk they are a bit over lubricated but it makes them cycle really smoothly. i empty a box in my pocket first and that removes the lubricant enough. i found that the winchester is a harder hitting bullet but at normal shooting ranges it really doesn't matter if you hit them in the head there dead and i prefer accuracy over power but i do know what you are talking about. Cheers Daz
  17. thats the problem they need to be fresh to get them prices so frozen would literally be a few pence. have any of you thought of preserving them. i use Kilner jars and fill them full of pigeon breasts and preserve them. the americans call it canning. its a really good way of keeping your kill to eat later and i mean later like 10 years if you want. you could joint the rabbits and fill the jars you will be surprised how much you can get in jars. cheers Daz
  18. i dont have any problem stopping rabbits stone dead with SK HP check out my video "160 rabbits" on youtube. Cheers Daz
  19. Hi Ken your obviously doing a good job of keeping the rabbits down to get recommended well done. we use .22lr because we are not shooting any more than about 70 ish yards and its a lot cheaper and very accurate if set up correctly at these distances plus its quiet. different game dealers give different prices but you are only talking about 80p medium - £130 large but price alters all the time. price comes down if theres a glut. to be honest even the amount we shoot we don't make allot of money it covers our ammo and fuel and food split between 2 of us its very hard work and not many peo
  20. i use SK HP in my CZ452 and at 52 yards i can shoot a 1/2" target and hit it all day long without much trouble. i tried all sorts of ammo and these are the only one that is consistent from brick to brick never have to reset zero from batch to batch. they may be dearer than some but if you add up your misses with other ammo then SK work out about right. Cheers Daz
  21. Them SK's are mint ammo they regulated much more than a lot of other ammo. the only thing most people don't like is they are lubricated but i actually prefer it i think they cycle from magazine to chamber smoother and load into the magazine smoother is your mamba lite a 1.5 x mag because if it is keep it because they a mint for filming they give a wide angle view. thats what i use on my ratting videos depending what rifle i go out with. but i prefer the mamba lite for close range shooting because of the wide angle of view. dont forget not 51 yards not 53 yards but 52 yards
