    ive seen them take full grown michigan blueback hen pheasants, these type are slightly smaller than average though and it was during the winter when there wasnt much else for them.

    just had a litter of 3/4 patt 1/4 russell and got 3 pups pretty much identical to that wee black and tan one. crackin lookin pup you had there. hope they do a turn.

    iv seen a good a worken terrier pup sold for good money here and the pup is wasted.money ant on good in the terrier game. How do you mean wasted? I think it is better to add value from the start also once there is a sale the seller can not be annoyed but when pups go for free and the new owner lets ther breeder down it is a sickening feeling. If a pup goes for free it has no value not too many can be cavalier with the cost of a dog to just let it go to hell be dumped or sold from pillar to post, I only have 3 friends who I would gift a pup too, the rest will pay a good price for a good pu

    120 that is pretty cheap if its coming from proven lines. the cheapest ive payed for any pup is £200 but i would pay double that if i knew it would turn out a loyal worker. i think im right in saying alot of people on this site would pay the money if they knew for a fact the dog would do the job, rather than take a chance on a cheaper one . . after all if a dog works the way you want it it priceless.

    ive never seen a patterdale drag a fox out an earth in my life . . . mine kills below ground and it doesnt move stays with its dead quarry, and so do most others ive seen for that matter.

    they also have to be fixed to the ground, drag snaring is now illegal in scotland

    from my experience if it was a mink it would have killed all of them unless it was disturbed. only reason im saying a hawk is because the others were unharmed. but it could well be a mink and you wer just fortunate enough to disturb it.

    sounds like a goshawk or buzzard to me both are messy killers. more than likely a gos. does it have any marks on the top of its head like it has been scalped? that is a telltale sign of a goshawk aswell

    at the moment no, but anything is a possibility as i am getting my shot gun cert sorted as we speak. if a suitable spaniel dosent come along i may go back to the original idea of getting another terrier. ive got an 18 month old spring bitch pedigree but no papers. (the sire was not registered at birth and has now passed away), he was owned by myself, dam is kc reg owned by myself. hardly done anything with the dog as she is gunshy. will hunt with other dogs but not by herself, still a bit playful white with a few liver patches. docked tail. if shes any use to you, your welcome to he

    ive got a .243 t3 hunter and use federal powershock 100gr and i can get 1" groups at about 150 yards no problem, check theres nothing touching the underside of the free floating barrel. sometimes this has an effect on grouping and what not

    i use purple sheeps foot spray its called something like gentian violet or something, stings like hell but stops infection cheers wee lad. does it harden over making a hard crust so it doesnt continue bleeding? aye its no bad it kinda crusts over. like a smooth plasticy surface. i always wash out the wound with warmish water and sea salt or savlon liquid. then dry it and use the gentian violet spray also known as purple spray its pretty cheap and you can pick it up in any farm shops or that
