Nets depend on how large your sets are, maybe a dozen would do, maybe a hundred.... I'd take 30 to begin with, if that ain't enough, get more. Knife, can't go wrong with an opinel, you'll get for under a £10. As for locators and spades, I don't use them mate so maybe someone else can advise you on that:thumbs:

lovely water, altho bailif is an absolute tit, lol. Up a few times in 2009.for the weekend bud never seen a bailif.After buying or permits From the small post office.Just at the start of the loch.. You buy your permit off the bailif mate, never buy from the shop.

Hi RFYL, just a question mate. How can you guide someone when you rarely fish the water yourself? If there is one thing you need to know to succeed in fishing is local knowledge.

I wish I had the time mate. Winters for dogs, summer for fishing and with flies on the internet at 25p each, free delivery...... I suppose its the love of tying and the joy of seeing you fool a trout with your own creation more than the money. I used to tie years ago but as I say, dont have the time. Totally agree with the modern patterns being tied to attract fisherman rather than fish..... same with lures. I hole drilled in an spoon head will catch fish, no need for the flash
