Was out fishing today at Aldin Grange. It started off canny then the weather got windy, cold and wet. The fishing was hard. Fish kept mouthing the fly then turning away. I managed 2 but me mother, father and me mate got none Smudge

I can tye ye a few up knocaveoboy. I dont tie for a living but just do odd flies for other folk. Ill be tying and the Stanhope show and St Johns Chapel show this summer to. Darcy, for a bigger wake i use a deerhair body to. You should see my latest design makes more wake than a ice breaker

Them klinkhammers can do everything. Those are in size 14 an imitate emerging flies and hatched flies at the same time. Colour and size can change accordingly. Theyre a very good indiactor to an oncoming hatch i.e you start taking fish using one when theres nothing hatched, the flies are just emerging Have you ever tried them like? Smudge

In recent year ive found modern dries far more effective than the ye olde types. 1 because theyre more boyant and 2 because they are more imative. A couple that i have found to be the best, ever. Stillwater mainly (Shipmans Buzzer) 1 2 3 4 Both Rivers and Stillwaters (Klinkhammer) 1 2 3 4 Smudge
