  1. If cwd like wetland than where's better for that then up north, though the weather isn't as kind up here which may be a deciding factor. I just always find it mad to believe that grey squirrels for example started off the population over here with so few animals! As for large animals, the only one I see spreading successfully is wild bkar, though we don't have any in Cumbria. ....yet!
  2. The Irish lads can't comment on this as there hares aren't as fast as the English ones
  3. Because they aren't hare dogs, as much as they try
  4. Keep quoting what you've read in books, that's if you can read, and I'll stick to real life stuff and having owned whippets
  5. Attractive to who? Some lads fall head over heals for some right dogs, the saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder rings true
  6. I can't even be arsed arguing with you mate, no point arguing with a idiot because they'll bring you down to there level and beat you with experience, stick to your 23tts whippets
  7. I don't care about peds, how do generations of under 21tts dogs produce a 23tts monster? That's a fair leap in size difference
  8. who's talking shit? Anyone who disagrees with him..... and slip lead if you think your getting a pure at 23 inch then your the clown; I've had pure greyhounds 24 inch you radgey, what is it with people calling something when it isn't, it is what it is
  9. In my eyes it's pointless till you sought out what's got there numbers so low in the first place mate; they'll just end up the same way as the rest
  10. 23 inch!!! If I bought a pup and it grew to 23 inch I'd batter the breeder with the dog, if a dog goes over 21tts it ain't a whippet
  11. And there's no point arguing with that sound logic
  12. I've always thought the same thing born hunter, some animals seem to only want to stay in isolated pockets even though they've nothing stopping them sprending, funnily enough it's only recently grey squirrels have come to my area, and within a year or two I've been getting good numbers in the traps
  13. We all know how well grey squirrels and mink have spread, but why do you think other species don't spread so quick? Zander and wels for example? Apparently one of the worst invasive species on the planet is American bullfrogs, they had a couple of pockets which the environment aGennys wiped out easily.... any thoughts?
  14. Not forgetting mink, and all the assorted gamebirds there is
  15. I'll snare a fence line with 10 or so and be happy picking a brace up for the pot, once I've caught a couple I'll pull them up till next time, if I catch more I'll freeze them for another day
  16. You can't even take sarcasm on the Internet you melt without spitting your dummy out, your obviously aren't bright enough to detect joke you nugget
  17. Dont agree with you there mate. PLenty of bull x's were 24/25 and 60~65lb and had pace to catch stuff single handed.bull x's can knock all sorts over including deer under the lamp but a daytime roe or hare thats up and running 60--100 yds away will live to see another dayand daytime foxSaw plenty foxes caught daytime by bull greyhounds off a decent slip. Why you lying for I'm not lying.
