Mine are in a run with one end boxed off wi a drum with a blanket for sleeping. dnt be suprised if they dnt use the toilet area i have litter tray in mine. and its only my oldest jill that use it the kits use the other side. i have drainage pipes to play in and some smaller piping for the jill kit to get away from the bigger two. the run is 8ftx 4ftx 2 high when i get sum more tubin the hutch will be connected up. your set up looks good but i would take the carpet and the plastic out. for bedding i use a fleece blanket or as said before old clothing or towls. i tried shreaded papper but that

    Im wanting to start makin my own nets can anyone recamend a good book on net making and somewhere where i can get supplies from. ta for your help
  6. My mate runs a 1/4 bull 1/4 whippet 1/2 grey that takes them

Its both as my staff is athletic so can run quickly iv only taken the pup out to watch other dogs do the job and for to get used to other lurchers. im also trying to build his confidence as when out on his own he tends to not stray far. im still working on his retrieve as its not 100% at the min

Ta bud. how would you sugest bringing on a dog i take him out once a week for a walk round warrens leting him sniff them hes been out once with my mates dog. he is broke to ferrets and retrieves the rabbit dummy 8 out of 10 times. one thing i have noticed when hes chasing my other dog about he seems to yap. how can i get him out of this? hes roughly 22 weeks old
  9. I expect them to mark and catch the runners this will be my first running dog iv kept bull breeds before. i was planning on leaving one hole unnetted and what ever comes running out the dog to give chase
  10. The bitch was a ferreting dog and not accident prone and the dog was a racing whippet ehich was work ocasionaly

Iv just been reading cmw and the article on whippets and wanted your veiws. are they really that acident prone and are laied up that much. i am just asking as i have a whippet pup i am going to be using for ferreting and i am now worried about how much time hes actually going to be spending on the field and how much layed up injured. ta tom

  17. Shes been motherin them dragin them into the sleeping area as she is a jill i thought this was normal they were all curld up in the sleep box when i noticed the smell

  22. I have a large athletic staff who is the same he has had my whippet hanging off his face and he just looks wi the expersion of help hes 2nd to non with ppl young and old as well as all dogs hes met its the old story again blaming the breed and not the deed

  24. Their just over 8 weeks. iv tried the older jill with the young 2 and all she kept doing was dragging the hob kit into the sleep box but she ddnt seem to be bothered about tge jill kit is this normal

I used on on my sheppard itvworked a treat the citrus one didnt work he emptied the canister in mins. i got a shock one off ebay it gives a warning tone and then if they carry on barking within 30 secs it gives a little shock. it was horrible to see at first but now hes as good as gold aslong has he has it on iv had it on him for 3 weeks with no batteries init and hes still quiet
