  1. I made it up there on monday , I must say they do a good job they will make you anything at all stock wise . In the end I have ordered a A5 style stock in fibreglass With a marble finish colour of my choice adjustable cheek and a recoil pad off my choice ,slightly shorter length as I use a wild cat mod so this will be a custom build made as I want it to fit me . Basic price is 250 and then you can change and build it as you want it , they also will make a carbon fibre one off if thats what you desire.

But from what I have seen they do look well made .

  2. They are a good rifle , I have had one, the trigger can be heavy but with a bit of work I got mine to be much lighter and crisp and shoot better, but there are no adjustments on this trigger . My Cz was every bit a shooter as the Sako Finfire that I have now . They are a simple rifle with not a lot to go wrong that shoot well and are fairly cheap I would have another if I needed one. My rifle had also been cut down and still shot well.

  3. Very nice, I dont supose yours is the one with the sliding block in the front end that works as a barral tuner . Also where did you buy it from if you dont mind me asking . Also post above 3/4" at 100 yds is a lot bigger at 300 plus so the better I can get it even a small amount within reason is good thing . I know its not going to be a bench rest rifle but every bit helps.

  4. I am thinking of changeing the nasty plastic feel stock that Sako fit to some of there 85 rifles. If you hold the butt firm ish it creaks like an old door.

The gun shoots ok just feels a bit nasty . I have only just started to look around so early days yet, I have just been on the Bell and Carlson site and they have a intresting one on there with a adjustable block that they say tunes the point of contact between the stock and the barral.

There is a clip on u tube showing it being tuned it looks good what do you think?. How many different companys do good aftermarket stocks to fit the 85 ?. The rifle is used for hunting fox mostly I hand load and want the best I can get out of my rifle. Any help or if you have a stock what do you think of it ?. Cheers

  5. Try UK Custom shop they have a good selection and they have a sale on at the mo . I have had a fair few things from there over the years and they are ok give them a call 01905 797060. They do Howa ect and can get most makes might save you some wonga . Good luck with your choice 22-250 is a great round I have a sako 85 . You could always buy a used gun and think about a custom new tube later ?.
