  1. I have had 4 Hilux over 15yrs or so, one had 180,000 on it when I got it, I took it up to 240,000 never missed a beat. As jobs got better and I could afford it I got newer and better trucks, But not one gave me any problems at all.

Just for a change I got a nissan D40 and one month outside of guarantee it had problems pressure switch on common rail fault,£1200 later it was ok but never could trust it. I would just save yourself any problems and get the best Hilux you can as I've never heard of a bad one.

  2. Well done you , there are scumbags on the bay , I have a small one on there at the moment , paid strait away sent a msg saying please could I have my item asap please, three weeks later and three more emails and nothing. Got to get on them to see if I can get my money back.

At least your scope should work as good as new now.

 Bit of luck in the end.

  3. I have a NSX 5.5-22x56 scope . I sent off for a power throw lever for the zoom ring, it came and i got it on , when its tight it still slips around on the scope.

I sent it back and they sent a replacement one and that was just the same .

Has any one else had this, or do you know of a different make that works.

I got on to Nightforce USA and they said send it back and we will have a look for you , thats great but its going to cost too much to muck about doing this plus going to be away for weeks.

    Any thoughts

  4. Hi all

I am looking for Federal 210 gold match primers in large rifle.
I live in Worcestershire but am finding nothing anywhere I ask. Any one know if theres any about, I have 800 ish off the same but small if any one is looking for some.I would try the CCI br but nothing about either.
    What are you using ?

  5. Hope this is in the right place if not please let me know.

Lapua 223 brass 102 total, 45 never fired, 55 reloaded 3-4 times at most, I sold this rifle a while ago so not needed.

I have neck turned them very very lightly to uniformed neck and also the flash holes and squared the primer pockets.

£40 posted , comes with a ammo case to stop them getting knocked about in transit.

If any one has Sako / Lapua 22-250 brass new or once fired I will do a part x but only for quality brass please.

  6. A good shooting buddy of mine see something he could not explain while out lamping 5/6 yrs ago , it went out of site just over the edge of a river bank, he had a shine about and could not see anything.

He went back the next morning to have a look and found a well worn trail down the bank to the waters edge, the other side of the water was around 10/12 feet away, the trail went up the bank and away over the top. He went around and where what ever it was on landing had left a very large cat shape print in the mud.

He followed the trail for some way to a large tree with large claw marks going up , half way up there was a half eaten blackface ewe wedged in a fork . This guy has been a keeper most of his life and is in his fifties so not wet behind the ears.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean its not there.

When I got married we had a horse back safari honeymoon in Africa on a 5,000 acre reserve, they had two cats there I can't remember the name of it but they said it stood around 20" so not small, they have had it there for 10 yrs and have never managed to see it once, but plenty of tracks as its so dry and sandy there. So they have them in a fenced area and still can't see it.

  7. Me and a mate out lamping about 10yrs ago now see one , it took a while to make out what it was as just didn't look like anything we had ever seen before , I've lamped for well over 20 years, it was only when it moved we looked at each other said nothing looked back at it and said is that what it looks like? It was at that point that we both had the biggest goose bumps shoot up the back of our necks . In the lamp its eyes looked bigger than a horse, but the biggest thing that stood out was its tail was really thick and one big curve start to the tip.

We thought thats enough for tonight.

about the same time there was a group of 5 walkers not far away, pulled in to a gateway to let a farmer past in his truck , farmer stopped to chat as some lived by him, all saw a large black cat leap across the track where they were stood about 80m away .

  8. I had a wolf a while ago , from new I had a few problems with it , it would spray pellets all over the place 150mm at 40m. I sent it back to Daystate as it was new, telling them that you could see led on the end of shroud where it was clipping pellets. It came back just the same so back it went again and this time they changed the shroud . It was a different rifle after that one hole groups every time . The only thing I cant realy explain it just felt a bit dead , trigger is a switch so no feel ,you just point and shoot it was a bit strange but a bag filler.
