  5. Is anyone on here flogging them and how much for a trap roughly. Cheers..?
  6. I must be doing something wrong with them half barrel traps as there always full up with dirt when i go back to them, i always cut the soil out carefullly and always dig the killing knots in the bottom of the run, there must be a knack..., like i said im no pro at this game but learning as i go a long, its more of a guilty pleasure, cheers for the tip.....
  7. I do abit of mole catching for are local golf course where i work, probably not that good at it, but good enough to keep the little buggers at bay, done a few jobs for the members now with success, i use the Talpa mole traps and i havent failed yet with them. Went round to have a look at this job today and this mole is partly on the lawn and having a party in the flowerbed, set a trap on the lawn in a pretty good run couldnt find to many good straight runs as this little bugger is all over the place. I looked in the flowerbed and attempted to set one in there and it collapsed, carried on rega
  8. Use a Talpa mole trap if your struggling with the duffus traps, and if you cant catch one in a talpa trap take up fishing instead. Talpas are very easy to set and i always catch with them the only drag is you cant catch two at a time. When people set the barrel traps they dont dig and set them quick enough which lets more oxygen in the tunnel, which the mole senses straight away, be quick and fast and make sure killing knots are in the ground and the tunnel is smooth before covering the trap. I suggest you re-read my original post - I wasn't saying I had difficulty with duffus traps or

  10. I would recomend the talpa mole trap, I have had alot of success with the scissor trap but had a few awkward moles recently kept finding the traps filled up with soil,so was recomended the talpa trap and nailed the moles straight away, once set and backfilled in a main run its only a matter of time, well worth a look i will probably not buy another scissor trap again...
  11. There worth there wait in gold, might have to get a couple more for the golf course i work at...
  12. Theres a bloke on here called 'Born hunter', works for pro trapper who sold me some talpa traps, come across some awkard moles and in 1 night caught 2 on these traps, piece of piss to set and a good success rate to go with them.
  13. Went back there today and 2 of the 4 traps had gone off, 2 moles delighted with the traps and the house owner was over the moon. Happy days..
  14. l.o.l. yeah stuck them in today so hopefully will do the job....
  15. Hey are you the fella who works for pro trapper who sold me the 4 talpa traps today?
  16. I will definatly buy the Talpa then hopefully do the buisness, You wouldnt believe the state of this lawn is a absolute labrinth under the turf layer i havent seen anything quite like this before, busy moles.
  17. Taken on a job for someone recently and have had no joy catching the moles with the scissor traps as they keep filling up with soil, which is quite sandy. I think it is down more to the soil type than the traps itself as catching plenty on the scissor traps at my local golf course. I was wondering if the Talpa mole trap would be a good addition to my trap armoury as this works on the trap being triggered through the soil being pushed through. Has anyone bought any traps from Magnum traps? Any thoughts cheers Reevo.
  18. Never really used the tunnel traps much to success but what are the metal rod that runs through the tunnel trapwith the blue string on... And do you need a tunnel choke on these traps? they are for marking the trap in the ground and what is a tunnel choke? I was reading on the nett some bloke explaining how to set the scissor trap and the tunnel trap he was saying you should dig out your run and when you put your trap in you should put in a speed hump in, this is a wedge of compacted dirt in the center of the tunnel, making a speed-bump of sorts. It should cross the tunnel and wi

  20. Not worth the cash, half the time you run them back into the woods for a week, then back they come again.... alot cheaper trapping them.
  21. i reevo, i'v not had one caught by the flipper but as for having your tunnel traps filled with soil, i use these all the time and would'nt use anything else, the trap is not being set in the tunnel properly and the mole has either detected it or the run has loose soil in it and the mole has realised there's something not quite [bANNED TEXT] with his tunnel and back filled it. u have to make the run smooth and the trap is set properly, push it down so the bottom of the trap loops are in the ground, thats if your still using the barrel traps. micky Cheers Mickey will keep trying till i get o
  22. Hi just wondered if someone could give me some advise on trapping moles. I have been very succesfull in the last year but the other day i caught a mole in a scissor trap and felt pretty shitty after, as i caught its arm,( not fair game). I was wondering when using scissor traps and tunnel traps if i should place a tunnel choke either side of the trigger or a ball of mud to increase the chance of the catch being fair. Tunnel traps i have had not much joy with and these are supposed to be the best mole traps and all i seem to catch is mud. l.o.l I have seen other pictures of people setting the
