Putting two and two together, it must be all the snoring that calls the rabbits in, thats were im going wrong Nice write up davy and a beautiful shot, that would have been a good one for the scope cam. Checked out you vids on you tube hopefuly i wil be able to pull of shots like that one day. I do love a good write up. .ste.
  9. Gary iv got 3 of them one in .177 one in .22 and one in .75 with depleted uranium armour piercing rounds i use the last one with my deep thermal imaging imaginary scope to shoot rabbits in there warrens. .ste.

Thanks guys, when the time comes i wil try and carry out maintainance and repairs myself (where possible), Safe in the knowledge that people like yourselves can guide me through any problems/tricky bits. In time with a little guidence i hope to be able to work confidently on my own rifles. Have taken on board what you have said and ofcourse safety is paramount. Cheers guys .ste.

Had a look at one of them at the local rfd, beautiful coulour that is the colour i would have chosen aswel , stock is 1lb lighter i beleve and it makes a massive diference lifting it to the shoulder, feels like you could get the cros hairs in place at the click of a finger. Very nice. . . .ste.

I took that maggie stone dead, as soon as it hit the ground two jays were on it like a tramp on chips, i watched them through the scope for 5mins waiting for that perfect moment to let lead fly but it never came, just wouldent stop squarking and flaping for long enough to take the shot . Theres always next time. . . Was a good morning out and learned quite a bit about the behavior of corvids, Cheers steve and dave .ste.

  17. Thanks, so good clean after every outing, oil and clean barrel only when requierd, got it , What about servicing and changeing of seals ect? Is this just a case of if it aint broke dont fix it? Cheers .ste.

  19. Trying to keep my rifle in tip top condition looks wise but more importantly mechanicaly. . . I wipe my rifle over after evry shoot with a dry rag then a cloth with a couple of drops of gun oil, i take the stock of to do this, How often should i be oiling working parts? Do i need to clean barrel? Ect ect. Any advice or just a quick run through on how you keep your rifle in good working order wil be very helpfull. Cheers. .ste. Any advice on

  22. Get a multishot for night no fiddleing around with pellets :-), maybe a s/h s410. Would be my choice and .177 like si said clearly speaking from a lot of expirience. My 2p .atb. .ste.

  24. If certain its either a jackdaw or a rook you can quite happily shoot both so no problem :-) Are you sure its not one of them pesky wabbits? :-D .atb. .ste.
