Some places round Swaffam the hares can make a good dog look sluggish and silly.

Your right Max but some lads 10 yards slip and call it 50 yds it depends on the terrain and quality of the hares place like Swaffam area some places give 50 yds youll never see it again . Other places 75 yards your on for a good race ,if your interested in the course then to me the further the better to watch a good course the outcome doesnt matter unless its a match then as Rich says depends who your matching.

Why did lots of ex pats 70,s 80s 90,s work in the Middle East< For Economic reasons. The Western Governments set the rules and Law they dont enforce them whose fault is that the immigrants ? Middle Eastern Countries set their rules and Laws and if your there you abide by them.

I have a policy with my dogs when coursing if they can see it and its in the same county it gets slipped on then its down to the dog if it gets on it or not, Many lads wonder what Ive slipped on , the dogs tug you know they have sighted and they get slipped, they know the game better than we do and they have got the pace to get on a hare usually gets its ears back when the dogs on it.. As said matches nowadays off the 4th lace hole suits most of the coursing men like thats their choice but certainly doesnt include sport in my opinion. Agree with most of the above, the only place to test a dog in its abilities and its heart is out on the Land. Running all types of game and Terrain. No doubt some lads like out and out Hare coursers dont we all ,but in order to enhance the inherent qualities of the Saluki ,they need to be given the opportunity to perform to their full potential. Times now are difficult but where there is a will there is a way. I fully believe that there is UK stock tucked away in nooks and crannies maybe aged stuff but the quality to breed is out there, the problem is getting sufficient numbers to test their

Royal Jihad to Talk of the Town produced Khan Jihad. ........ Khan Jihad to Miskin Magic produced Amazing Pharoh ,not absolutely sure but think Pharoh sired 11 pups in total. , think 6 dogs and 3 bitches in one litter. Titan or Arcticgun would probably know they will be possibly be more up on UK lines than me.
