  1. Will tell the oul fella to keep his ears open round Portadown. Best of luck in getting them back
  2. Many many conrgats to Paul Reid on his big win today and to Greame as well Really had a great day today and to Albert's credit it was all he hyped it up to be. The grounds were lovely and there was too many stands to get round in a day when showing too. We left the field planning to camp next year
  3. Albert, I have to agree with what the others are saying, I strongly agree that a class for kc reg dogs has no place at a 'working' dog show. I think the better alternative for a questionable dog is to put it to the judges of lurcher and whippet showing classes. The number of working dogs at shows is in great decline and the introduction of kc classes will only put another nail in the coffin. To end on a positive, the concessions you have introduced offer good value for money
  4. Had a great day yesterday, there was a good turnout at an excellant, venue. Thanks for the kids goodie bag, Tom. Im sure there will be a few sore heads this morning as the bar was drank dry when we left! Congratulations to all the winners. Big well done to Dessie and Joe with there NI Champion of Champions wins with their terrier and whippet. Great to see someone who works their whippets doing so well.
  5. I was delighted with winnimg Been Hunter but if a prize was advertised why not ask for it? I wasnt there on Sat so cant really comment but I feel for Matt and co rather than condem them having had two lures pack in In reference to the judging, I had only spoken to the judge before briefly at a few shows and am not by any means a friend of his. I also showed a couple of whippets, didnt win, but had no complaints about Janets judging. The whippet bitch that won was a real looker and the lurcher was in top condition and a worker I agree if you bring judges from across the water you eliminat
  6. I went to hq with matt and co and were sent to the redmills stand for pictures as Matt rangled a few bags of meal from them. When asked about the other prizes he said he knew nothing about them. There seems to be a breakdown in communication somewhere, but thanks for clearing it up I dont mean to be too negative but a little constructive criticism can be a good thing, maybe intstead of taking pics at a stand which people were complaining about not being able to find, you could take a leaf from Moira's book and present prizes in main arena
  7. Hope Vicky and Jay had a good day too. Didnt do too bad myself, not that use ones in Portadown would know what a good terrier was, lol
  8. Albert, you seen to have advertised your prizes for show class winners above, but why did they not materialise today. I won champion terrier and reserve best in show today and no tankard or cash prize turned up, neither did the champ lurcher. Did the spreme champ get her coat and or cash prize?
  9. True, true If people let there dogs out to shit in the neighbors gardens, there would be a few harsh words, but because its a cat they think its ok. When was the last time you seen someone out cleaning up after a cat? Think the videos so shocking because its an old 'lady', if it was a 'hoody' it wouldn't be such a surprise. Cat was in the bin for 12 hours....you wouldn't wish it on a dog
  10. Used to have Irish terrier cross before moved back into town, he did well on the few long ears we came across. Great all rounder dog, only problem was the fecker couldn't be housed, was up and over the pen as soon as he was in it. Found the odd rabbit left at the backdoor a few mornings!!
  11. Too many great lookers to comment on And how nice to see such a long thread without any bitching
  12. Unfortunately this show has been canceled due to a death in the family. Please pass the word onto anyone you know who had planned to go
