    stock breaking to lambs is far different to breaking to sheep!! The dog is young,it will learn,striping it after the event wont help,put it on a long rope and take it out again,the moment it pulls towards the lambs,then tell it thats the wrong thing to do.However you see fit.But beating it after the event wont change a thing. atb shushy

    i went to a show today and the judge picked working dogs,a rarity nowadays! I won my class with my bitch and then had to listen to second place mush moaning to his missus about my "scarred up"bitch winning!! Why go if yyou are gona moan if you lose! The judges decision is final,no matter whhat he/she picks! atb shushy.

    went to a hunt show last weekend and the judge didnt even touch the dogs,apart from looking at the teeth!

    i dislike the big heads on the half crossea,but i run a bull whippet grey back to a saluki grey and she will do anything that is asked of her,she has the guts for stuff that bites,the wind for long ears and has never let me down on any quarry.Horses for courses,but if you want an all rounder,i think it does need a dash of bull! atb shushy.

    my dog never ever opened.Then he had a bad injury and was off for quite a while,i got him back to what i thought was fit and went for a shine,first slip he opened because he couldnt catch,frustrated and not fit enough!!
