    yes i know birds will take bigger game but a red tail has no hope of taking a fox i seen my mates harris come off bad oneday on a mink bigger bird bigger prey same outcome Ok two genuine pics of a female RedTail taking Foxes :whistle:

    Im not a hybrid falcon fanatic but a female Gyr x Merlin would be a accipiter with pointy wings but with all that stamina and speed!,i did have my name down for one three years ago but nothing came of it.Still love to give one a crap at the whip...

    I know what you mean mate! ,for partridge,pheasants i dont think a 2lb and a bit German girl is hard to beat or Finn male for myself, but i still like to see a big old Finnish girl on a fit January pheasant on a long flight.

    I have taken two Muntjac deer by chance with my imprint male Goldie whilst hawking brown hares,both were taken in light hazel copice and he is already conditioned for them as i trained him with a full size Roe deer stuffed pelt lure,even on a non hawking day i fly him to this to keep him on the ball. But to be honest the best quality sport is with him flying out the hood at brown hares for long coursing flights,IMHO a male golden is the best hare hawk and ive slipped him at hares 200meters away and had succsess but i havent done any waiting on with him due to my terraine.     Plummber & Hancock sarga will never go away... My friends lurcher is a 24 inch half cross border/grey blue merle bitch and looks like a 3/4 bred and not half cross,shes a great fox dog and has taken many walked up hares,shame about the conditions of Hancocks kennels and this bitch has always been timid round people despite the hours of socialising hes put in and she lives inside. Im surprised hes passed the local councils inspections for a breeders licence?

    What are the average weights in youre areas?,i have cought by accident two Muntjac with my Golden eagle whilst looking for woodland hares,one was a 17lb buck grolloched and the doe near 24lb mark.And yes he took them with little fuss. I do get the odd road accident munty from my friend who stalks as he gets called out to RTA,s with deer. Be interesting to see what size they are in youre area?
