  8. just out of interest, as a 3/4 whippet owner with a lot of experience of whippets, how does the 3/4 compare to the whippets in terms of pace/turning/strike etc. Are they no where near as good or do they get pretty close? Would you get another one after yours passes away or will you go back to whippets? just thinking you might be a good person to give a true opinion on how good the cross is compared to the pure whippet. id have another one i a heart beat mate if i could find a good beddy to use i think u lose abit of pace from the beddy but thats more than made up by the extra bit of fir

  11. haveing had alot to do with whippets in my life (my dads had them for 30 odd years) i can honestly say that theres nothing more suited to family life and the other half loves them the only benifit i have seen with a beddy x whippet is the coat gives a little more protection from the rough and tumble of working life and i have a beddy whippet my self shes a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy hope this has bee of some help atb ruby jet
  12. never a truer word said about the cross you say that but some croses especially half crosses carry alot of muscle mass , you can go downm the nutrition road but its hard to keep the muscle off as its in the breed, to much musle and not enough speed , if a half cross throws its self to the grew then its a bonus i agree with what your saying 100% on that statement i was just lucky that mine thrown to the racy side
  13. there is only two people id trust to take my dog out my dad whos had runing dogs for 43 years and a frend off here only people id trust to put the dog in the wright place at the wright time and not just run them for the fun of it or at qurry that there not bred for

  16. i know what u mean but there is always the half crosses that throw to the racey side like this on of mine 23 1/2 tts 55 lb 12 month old Thats a lovely lurcher Ruby Jet, a credit to you, tip top condition, as you say, not all first crosses are heavy, most are fair enough, but not all of them. Had both sorts, but as has been stated, depends what your after, although nowadays, i'd go for the more athletic type, better suited to "multi tasking", jmho. B never a had a heavy bull x dont see the need if u can get a strong racey one
