    I think it would be more simple to say just ferreted rabbits but I guess it could be put into other sections of the forum. You wouldn't have to say where you ferreted could just do county and number?

    I understand what your saying, I have kept a record the past 3 seasons and it is interesting looking back. Thought that a nationwide version would be even more interesting!

    That's all taken into account, I was thinking it could give an idea of the service of rabbit control that ferreters do nationwide for farmers and land owners.

    Was looking through my game book and thought it would be quite interesting to accumulate all the numbers of rabbits caught by everyone that ferrets on here. What do you think? Or has this been tried before? I know there is the report section I was just thinking purely numbers. And I know its not all about numbers, just thought that it could be interesting.

    Found some slightly imperfect hunter admirals the bamboo ones for 40 quid, the only reason they were imperfect was because the stickers weren't on straight! And it failed hunters quality control. You will have to Google them as I can't remember where I saw them.

    Ha ha I have had a quick practise this morning and I have smoothed out some areas which snagged more. But I think it will do the job for me! Lol obviously no where near as good as the real deal! I am sure I have Scottish blood in me somewhere.

    Ive got some old nets that would go nice in there aint I Socks.. .. Is that a screw poking out the baton on the far side? If it is, its gonna snag like a bitch, that said, most of them corners and edges will probably snag at some point. Fair play for having a go at it though, looks like I made it You could do with a smaller meshed bag for the basket, so your longnet doesnt slip through, pick up crap and tangle. Its just the light shining of the bottle behind, i tried to make sure all the screws were sunken to reduce snagging as much as possible ....... might work might not we will see!

    I did wonder where my dog came into it lol, I defrost now but I thought the same as ideation about in winter fresh meat freezing and if it effects the ferrets ( or dog ! ) at all. Thanks for the replies

    When you feed frozen food do you defrost it first or just bung it in?

    thanks for the comments, i decided on a 25 yd 4 oz 100% bagging traditional longnet from bridport, and got 4 poles, then just going to make my own basket, 44 squid happy days!
