  1. Yip....and i did google it and found out some stuff as you say. But i'm thinking your dogs are far from the wild wolves you talk about or the pack animals like huskies? I'm sure there will be hundreds of members coming on shortly to say they have the same problem.... yeah they are quite distant from wolves, but all dogs are descendent's of wolves, and salukis, being probably the oldest breed of dog or certainly one of the oldes breeds, 5000 years old, and can be traced back to 3000 bc are primitive wouldnt you agree,

  3. it goes to show how little some of you lads know about dog behaviour, ime not asking why they do it, as its quite a common thing especially between old breeds of dogs like saluki,s huskys etc it stems from primitive hunting behaviour, which wild dogs wolves etc use to communicate whilst out hunting singularly or in packs to communicate, with each other especially on moonlit nights,
  4. real constructive replies then,
  5. it is a full moon tonight, and every time it is full moon, my dogs howl like f**ck, throughout this 24 hour period, daytime and nighttime and they will also be very restless, walking in and out of there kennels all day and night, on edge, and howling like wolves, every couple of hours, they have been like this since they were pups its not a problem, as the rest of the time they are really quiet and you dont know they are there , its just some primitive thing going on, anyone else notice this with there dogs ?? it only ever happens on a full moon during a 24 hour period, it doesnt matter if
  6. I was at Wansbeck. (Cambois, Blyth), last sunday for the Whippet Open. It's still going strong for the Greyhounds, trialing every day, and racing a couple of times a week. Cheers. (Cambois, Blyth), along with all the other flapping tracks, should be shut down, causes no end of grief for us officers, due the local half-wit trying to win some beer money. Not so long ago some fooker from wansbeck poured petrol onto a greyhound and set fire to it.Was the worst thing that was posted to our wildlife division. your the biggest halfwit on here, cant find any reference to a greyhoun
  7. a a very nervous hybrid with severe behavioral problems, useless for hunting,
  8. all the barf you could ever want is in tesco,s if you know what to look for, i can feed my dogs on "human grade food" (barf) from there cheaply and easily, ie chicken wings, chicken thighs, cheap beef mince ,cheap oily fish, greens, rice, pasta, cheese, cod liver oil, get the cheap brown bread and then bake it, mixed with a bit of dog meal/mixer, throw in rabbits etc.
  9. just a suggestion mate, but why dont you just breed another litter from the same parents? instead of waiting years to breed off that other blokes, pup

  12. collie x greyhound x collie x greyhound x greyhound, = 3/8ths 5/8ths which is somewhere in between a half cross and a three quarter,(theoretically) would be my ideal x if i was getting one, )
  13. definatley rewire it with a 3 pin plug on the lamp and a 3 pin socket wired straight to the battery terminals,
  14. i would get a bedlington x whippet if i possibly could, i would be expecting to pay around £150 maybe £200 for a genuine bred first cross, or second generation, worker to worker bred, and if possible i would buy it late spring, so you have all of the long summer days to play about with it, and socialise it, train it etc,
