on the way home from work tomorrow im popping in to the local and picking up some h&n and bisley mag to give them a go and as for the airarms im giving them ago because i no there made by jsb but the ones im receiving are 4.41 head size and im using 4.53 in jsb so its only to see if a smaller head size helps which i have been told could be a reason for not so tight groupings as you see from the pic i added this morning the groupings are nearly there they just need tighting up a bit and stop them random ones that go about 1 inch away from the grouping :wallbash:

right just been out side having a play the pic below had a 10 shot mag at the target and it was bench rested the scope is zeroed the cross hairs never moved of the bulls eye but ignore the mark next to the number 5 thats a nail mark and it was at 30 yards tried davys idea about moving the silencer quarter then half turn on the treads to see if the silencer was clipping and they still grouped, looking at the pic i think i just need a different brand of pellets that group tighter than jsb i do have some air arms on the way from the pellet swap thread so when they arrive ill try them but looking

Nice 1 Zini that made a very interesting read like you said personally I don't think it's the silencer as this screws directly on to the barrel but I'll have a look at that today and my silencer is made out of carbon fibre

nice one for the heads up its the newer version air ranger august 2008 model so it is not regged like the earlier versions ill have a look at the seal but i have checked the shroud and barrel and they are fine

like you no i had my shroud cut down but i dont think its anything to do with that i thought it was down to them clipping the silencer but adi threaded my barrel and crowned it for me so my daystate silencer screws directly on my barrel now i think its just down to me finding that right pellet as the groupings are not bad just need to find out why im getting FLYERS davy has gave me a good suggestion to try tomorrow to eliminate the theory of the silencer clipping so im trying that tomoz but if it was clipping the silencer surely the targets would look like i have shot a shotgun at them im only

well i can honestly say i have learnt something new today i would not have thought in a million years that the poi will move from having the mod on to having it of so the lesson learnt today people always zero your scope with the mod on if you usually shoot with it on that is just another question how often would people expect to get flyers because out of a 10 shot mag i usually get one flyer of about 1 inch now can it be that i need to track down another brand of pellets i think what i might do is set up some more targets tomorrow on the back garden and do some more tests with mod on rifl

hi BJ your flyers may be down to damaged skirts! do you lube your pellets? what rifle you using? also a way to find out if it is clipping,is turn your mod a quarter a turn between shots. this will show any dis-alignment,also you will notice the group too! your groups in post above seem ok just need to get em tighter and as we all know this takes time! try doing 3 or 5 shot groups hope this helps regards davy hi there Davy im using a daystate air ranger .177 and i dont lube my pellets but every time i load my 10 shot mag i always try to check to see if the skirts

right nice one for that the only reason i did it this way is because i was getting 9 ish consistent shots then ill get a flyer of about 2 inch and i was trying to find out if it was clipping my silencer but looking at those groupings with silencer on i can safely say its not clipping as they are grouped im trying to find out why i keep getting flyers rossy08 will tell you about these flyers that im having nice and consistent then all of a sudden of it goes im wanting to go hunting but as it stands with these flyers im not even going to point it at quarry as its not fair if they get wounded but

hi all bit of a random one here ill try to explain right the age old problem i have a dayatate air ranger .177 that has a very very fussey barrel so im on the hunt for that magical brand of pellet i have just started today trying 2 brands so far 1,jsb exact 4.53 2,accupell both round pellets now what im doing is between different brand of pellets im useing my napier pull through kit to clean the barrel then releading it with 25-35 pellets then rezeroing my scope (im taking my silencer of then always rezero with the silencer of) now my question is if i zero my scope with the silencer of a

hi all just treated my self to a jsr ramsbottom gun-tuff range finder could not make my mind up on either the gun-tuff or the mtc rapier range finder hope i have made the right decision on the gun-tuff one but my wallet finds it better as its £35 better of any feed back on the gun-tuff rangefinder would be great pros/cons and a happy new year to all of my fellow shooters

hi all got a very fussy barrel still so im on the scrounge for .177 pellets to try and find that magical pellet i have .177 jsb exact 4.53 to offer in exchange as i dont fancy going and buying 10ish different brands of pellets that would cost any help would be appreciated thanks i also have some .22 rws hollow points to exchange for .177 as well

just out of interest how long is a bsa R10 buddy bottle from underside of where the stocks longest point is up to the end of the bottle and can you also tell me whats the diameter of the bottle thanks all
