  1. one thing I do to make sure the scope is in the right position on the gun . I mount the scope on the gun in the position i thing is correct , to check this is correct I shoulder the gun as if to shoot it but with my eyes closed . When I feel comfortable and it feels like I would take a good shot I open my eyes and look down the scope , at this point in the proceedings I should have a perfect image , I dont need to move my head to correct any thing If I have to move my head I move the scope about a little here and there to correct the problem. hope this helps you.

  2. when I put a gas ram in my lightning 177 it was shooting fantastic bang on 11.8 ft lbs until the gas ram leaked gas and oil ,quite soon less than 6 mounths of use may be less than 500 shots most definatly less than a 1000 . so I went back to a spring, the gas ram in your gun looking at add pictures here and there looks to be similar to the theoben ones . I would guess you have a problem, my lightning with a standard spring from new was shooting at 11.8ft lbs untill the spring snapped. 11.5 ftlbs is an easy thing to get out of a lightning . If your gas ram is leaking you may see some sort of oil or grease leaking into the inside of your piston ....test your gun with a light pellet to make sure

  3. i have noticed with different power levels in the same springer different pellets giving different accuracys . maybe your gun has a power increase I think maybe falcon accuracy plus dont like higher power . but this is a guess your gun may have run in increasing the power . also lightning springs had a rep for breaking , mine did. maybe you have a power drop because of a broken spring . I have also had pellets that I think are the best thing ever out of a gun then they are total rubish . it could be pixies at the end of your garden messing with your gun at night .

  4. I have a webley omega not a very good gun nothing like the old mark 3 s it shoots ok but the trigger is very fragile . I have not used or or looked close at a long bow but all the webleys since the mark 3 and the old junior and premier pistols I have handled are not as good . The eclipse has the same trigger as the omega I have seen two other modern webleys break barrels they were poor . both my 97k and tx 200 are 177 they are excellent my tx 200 is a little low on power touching 11ft my 97 11.6 ft with the best possible pellet .If you get a break barrel and want it to be as accurate as fixed barrel??? if you want to see if a 177 97k or a tx is any good , get one . I am glad i got out off the 22 rut 177 in 12 ft is amazing . I got both my tx and 97 second hand both guns had had little use I think they both needed a few tins of pellets to get perfect ,I have a tx 200 mark 2 and it is still a little new feeling now today .I would not get a webley and expect it to be like tx or a 97k if you are , then you will be wasting your money .

  5. if you scope got a good bash it could be a problem something may be loose inside .did you clean your gun barrel because of inaccuracy , the cleaning process may have given you the problem also did your brother stab your barrel into the ground . if so he may have or your barrel crown may have gotten damaged in some way . also the pellet thing if you are using a new tin of pellets but your usual brand this could be the problem .

  6. if you want to shoot a rock down range and not hit your hand because you have no experience with catapults a black widow style is ok . If you want accuracy and power learning how to make and shoot your own home made catapult with flat bands is the way to go . basic good quality ply wood and a fret or coping saw and sand paper is a good way to get the exact catapult frame you want also . I have a black widow from my youth I feel the fact that you hold your hand away from the bands and the bendy bit that holds the bands on , gives a bit more movement while you shoot the catapult adding inaccuracy . If you look on the internet any one shooting accurately they are shooting a catapult with out a wrist brace .

  7. the problem is not the latch it is the angled slot in the air cylinder . the latch starts to dig into the metal over time I need to file an chisel the very end of the angled bit in the air cylinder I cant be bothered any more I have a tx 200 and a hw97k that shoot fine .....one thing I did think could now be wrong with my hw 35 is the hole or the bolt that goes through the breech the could now be egg shaped or the pin could be worn . my younger brothers are half my age and have a knack and an ability to destroy every thing .when I gave them the hw 35 it shot bang on with a scope .when I get the gun back the scope ????? fell off ???? and disappeared .and the barrel has movement . I think maybe it got used like a brake barrel and they just wacked the thing open .I fixed up one of the webley omegas 20 years ago they ran out of pellets so they shot nails rapped in blue tack or something . After pulling the gun to bits I found a nail embedded in the piston washer .

  8. I think hw 35 are over rated 10.29 ft lbs is about right it is for my gun . putting a square section spring in the gun dose nothing to my ft per second it just makes the gun harder to cock . my gun is an old leather seal . The main problem I had was the locking mechanism of the barrel if you pull your barrel down a bit treating it like a brake barrel your barrel may open a tiny bit mine did I fixed it but the problem is back . I gave my gun to my younger brothers who had the gun for 15 years of abuse . I now cannot be bothered with my hw 35 it is shooting with open sights at 10 ft lbs if i am lucky the long barrel is good with open sights and the little bit of play in the barrel is not such a problem with open sights . Its a big problem with a scope .

  9. i would shoot at different distances 10 20 30 40 yards ect .if you gun is on target then it is fine . I do wonder if some scopes are not so well made I have a scope that shoots a tiny bit to the right a 20 yards at all other ranges it shoots fine . I think it could be because of the adjustable objective lens when it is adjusted for different ranges it moves the point of impact . what you are seeing down your scope could be something to do with parallax error your head or the gun may move a little after the shot .

  10.

i though thera band gold was thera band gold all the same .I know there is latex free theraband that is no good for catapults they may do that in gold also

thera band changed their formula a while ago. it used to be a little thicker and in slightly wider rolls.

if they changed there formula and thinner and not so wide band have the same resistance as the old band then all is fine . any new bands done to the old size should be a little stronger but if the new formula is less band for the same money then any new bands cut to the old size will be a little weaker .

  11. To be fare, have you seen the youth of today, and can you imagine some of them with guns, tighten the laws quick. :D

If there is a problem with youth its because of one reason education . To days education consists of one thing brain washing it was bad for us oldies but it is worse for the kids to day . tv media and schools who controls these , look at some adult programs from the sixties they are more tame and moral than the kids shows to day . Or say Dirty Harry an X when it came out it would be a light hearted comedy to day , it would fit right in kids tv . Also music Elvis and his gyrating hips compared to what kids look at know a porn mag from the sixties is a comic .100 years ago the brain washer was the church good or bad , to day its bbc ect , hollywood , printed media and the school curricula who controls this ? You could almost think its deliberate to destroy the population but we know is just all the people running these organisations are just stupid I DONT THINK SO .
