  1. Ive no idea never sent anything by courier especially livestock
  2. Im leaning towards a good saluki grey but its not for aehile yet gives me time to look about even thou the cookland deerhound greys also seem to be ok
  3. Ive been shot at and blown up worked my arse off in the name of this country and I for one will not stop hunting either
  4. Tbh this ban is never going to be lifted and eventually all lurcher work and terrier and ferreting will be stopped as the government continues to control our lives
  5. I have to jills to go from working stock this years young free but im at Accrington lancashire

You keep your dog well fed exercised and in good condition but you cant get out to work the dog as often as you like because of family work and that your limited by not driving and that the area you live in doesn't hold that much game. Taking that into account would you still expect the lurcher you have tp still put a good heaf of game in the bag and try his heart out when the opportunity arose. Im a great believer in - you cant make a dog good A good dog is born You can ruin a good dog Plenty of work
  7. Youd think that but why is it so difficult I remember reading jackie drakeford and she said deer should be the first quarry taken by a lurcher as it was a greyhound original job ... I like a fast and game dog but im struggling to achieve that
  8. Id like to agree with that statement but I cant the amount of dogs being bred nowadays that dont like teeth struggle with anything that pushes them hard have no gameness is unbelievable

  10. Not as easy as people think id say id like wheaton grey saluki grey but then again may not take deer or not enough speed to take hare
  11. Why the two separate dogs why not the one who did both bearing in mind that you were only looking at hare n deer

  14. Sometimes its great advise from people from this site and fortunately its a topic withgood advice but what I require my lurcher to do I cant put up here .. I already have a lurcher at present one that I took on knowing nothing of its breed or background except that it had been starved and mis treated the dog is ok at best will never make what I want but ive said ill keep the dog if only to get me out the house ..

I see it all the time on here source a decent pup breeder whatever ...but how do you source this decent pup if no one talks or gives you an inclination ... as people say when you do come to find a good pup and you look in mags like edrd and cmw the people will tell you anything and everything you want to hear as long as it gets the sale

  17. From all the years of experience and wealth of knowledge on this site can someone shed any light on the finding of a GOOD lurcher ?? Before anyone starts I do believe that with training and given the opportunity a lurcher csn come good but its finding the right one in the first place
