Can you send your lurcher out 400 yards, left/right/back, stop it, put it over a fence and then let it use its nose to find a pricked bird thats running like a mofo when it hasn't even seen the bird falling?..... Come back and tell me when you can mate..... I CAN ....... Must have a bit lab in it somewhere then, I'd love to see that too....... Great to see a well trained lurcher!

Yes mate my big dog can do that easy and my old bitch(10) could go back the distance and find the bird but she would struggle with the fence mate. Hopefully my 2 pups will be getting near that kind of standard next year too.... What i would say though if i was looking for a dog to put food on the table then obviously a lurcher would be the dog for the job.....
