  1. lol well its nice to hear someone getting one over on the f !! it is a waste of time and money!! im having a lot of problems round my way just out lamping!! ive had to get permission forms filled out for each of my venues now!! because they keep waiting by my jeep all cocky!! till im out the field and start to give me the spanish inquisition and thinks its allright to call the landowners at 12 at night to ask if i can be there!! witch as u can imagine pisses the land owners off big time!! thats some land you gone and got yourself try not to get round it too quickly!!!
  2. he sounds like hes out of good stuff mate!! and i hope you do get him right!! its a funny old game teaching an old dog new tricks but if he hasnt had much done with him and you take him steady and get some manners out of him i think youve got a good chance of cracking it!! let me know how you get on with him!! be intrested to hear how hes coming along!!
  3. id go back too basics right back to getting it to heel on the lead and teach him manners before i let him loose in the field!! get him sitting on command and staying then letting him walk off the lead when hes grasped that and when u feel hes moved too far away from u get him to return!! i know i must sound like im telling you how too suck eggs and i dont mean too but its the way i would do it if i really wanted to make this dog part of my pack!! good luck with him mate looks a lovley dog!!
  4. super glue was first used on skin during world war two i have been told!! apparently american soldiers used to have it for keeping there rifle scopes mounted firmly and when people used it it stuck there skin together so they had the bright idea of using it on wounded soldiers!! i have actually had this conversation with a nurse whilst she was gluing my head back together after a night on the tiles went a bit wobbly for me(say no more) and she said if thats whats available too use then use it its very simaler to the stuff they use anyway!! so if its good for us its good for our four legged fr
  5. cracking looking pair u got there [bANNED TEXT]!! i should have got my fella out in the snow and got some good pics everybody else seems to have done it!! lol

  9. well for starters u really have to assess the severity of the cut!! if u feel it can be delt with yourself then check to make sure there are no foriegn bodies in the cut(i.e bits of grass, mud, even bits of the barbed wire if its a rusty old thing) then i suggest hydrogen peroxide this will clean out the wound!! and then hibi scrub to make extra sure its clean!! then its up to u stitch or staple!! if u havent done it before and ur squeimish dont put your dog through unnessasary pain and get him down the vets!! and insurance is a really good idea its saves me a bundle when i have had sum nasty c
  10. nice looking fella!! thanks for showing me!! i was gunna set to get a black one but my fella just caught my eye at the last minute lol!!
  11. i seen a lot of bull xz on here just fancied checking out sum collie types and any other xz u fancy showing off! cheers
  12. the advise u have been given is exactly what you need too do!! use the dummy to teach the retrive and as for getting the strike ferreting is a perfect way too go i net sum harder holes and place the dog by the open holes this really teaches the dog to be on the ball and gets them striking!! i dont use nets at all now on my sets my dog rarly misses he has learned the sounds and is allways in the right place at the right time!! i only use ferreting as a way of keeping my dog sharp !! good luck fella!!
  13. its a strange one really im take my dog with me when i go too the ferret cage too feed them and i handle the ferrets in front of him!! not now but when i was breaking him in!! its really a case of drumming it in too him but still i wouldnt 100% trust him out in the field if hes hiped up and one comes out he may make a mistake!! really wish u all the best fella let me if...

  14. 12 rabbits and 3 r.d!!(not red)with my 3/4 grey 1/4 collie the pic on my profile is my next biggest bag single dog!!! sorry wont b putting any pics up for reasons we all know!! thats sum going with that many rabbits were do u go to get bags like that ive only ever seen those numbers caught longnetting!! nice job fella!!

  16. we have both done the same thing!! what it is is lightforce actually make there own batteries for these lamps but nobody seems to import these from australia or the U.S i think its to do with the mains plug sockets u charge with becuse they dont use the same plugs and stuff as we do over here!! so we get sold the britash equivelent i think!! my mates cut theres off and wire straight too the battery but then u make charging and if u want too swap lamps or anything more difficult!! plus after paying £160 for a brand new lamping kit im if im gunna cut it to bits and bodge the wiring!!
  17. any of the lightforce trio really depandant on the land youll be running on!! u get the lance wich is the babie of the bunch but still a very good lamp too start off with then theres the trusty striker shes my favourite just right for me and the terrain i run on thats the medium size then theres the blitz thats a piece of kit but only if u need a lamp that could cause a plane too crash!! i find for everyday lamping the strikers the perfect size the blitz is too bulky and gets in the way all the time!! jhonsenfieldsports is were i brought my kit thats the striker the deben beltpack and charge
