Been out this morning but just sorting recall didn't let her away from my heel without yelling. It's tough to catch the rabbits far away from their hole or a fence she is picking up the scent and chasing though. Yes plenty of stingers about she's not too fond of them! Doesn't seem to be putting her off she just try's to avoid them when were mooching. Don't think she's bothered if chasing.

Used to have an acd / blue heeler as a kid in oz. thing used to pull me on a skateboard for miles, never had to push for a few years!

Thanks. She's got no probs picking up the scent when were out. She's crap at spotting but will chase if she sees. Seems dead keen v Like others have I'm having recall probs when she's in the zone as she's only 8months. Will take a few bits in my pocket to reward her tomoz for returning.

Just posted this in earth dogs but may be more suited here ... Found a couple of rabbit legs on our walk tonight. Attached to some fur and what not. Bitch is plenty interested and had a sniff n chew. Have bought back as I figure I can trail the scent and hide it see if she finds. Any other tips? Thanks

Shouldn't of had such tasty fingers! To be fair unfortunate accident. Could of been stopped with a cage on back of door but also could have been avoided by just pushing leaflet thru

Nowt in particular. She's a bit thin so going to get her fed up a bit. Get her recall sorted then hope to get involved in some ratting.

Just thought i'd share a pic of new patterdale x jack. "rescued" at 8 months old earlier in the week. Previous owners apparently had allergy issues. Had a jack x before but not with a patterdale. The hunting urge seems strong in her! Any advice and tips greatfully recieved
