you have to get a gunsafe to store it in you shouldn have any problem getting a licence as long as you have no criminal record -

thank you very much bendrover. i thought long and hard about different crosses my original choice was a deerhound cross but after a bit more thought i decided on bull cross its nothing to do with the looks of the dog all im thinking about is the build of the dog for the work it will be doing and the type of land it will be hunting its a nightmare having to start from scratch again but at least i can say i tried even if im being called a silly c*nt for doing it thanks again your a top man

Sorry to hear bout that ,How does it effect him, he's got to that age with it , will you not get a few more years out of him,? when his heart beat rises he nearly chokes to death and he vomits i dont know much about the dog i rescued him a month ago cos he was covered in mange and underweight friends of mine that knows the dog says he never had any trouble when he was younger i think he developed it when he was being mistreated

i should of just stuck to my plan i was buying a bull cross for months i was waiting for the right dog and then came across jack i felt sorry for the dog and thought id get him up and working again 3 trips to the vets and all the money i had saved for the bull cross spend and ended up with a dog that cant hunt fu*k sake. but thats the way it goes

just back from collecting him got some tablets to try him on to see if they help regulate his heart or something like that and give him light exercise for the time being i dont think he will be hunting again i thought the dog was 5 or 6 but the vet reckons hes 4 or 5

well i took jack for a second opinion to a diferent vet today they kept him in the vet just foned and told me the dog has an enlarged heart fuc*ing balls

just back from the vets the dog is fine he dosnt have bloat and he is in good health other than being a bit stiff in his back legs. she thinks he is not used to having food in his belly when being exercised [my fault] i was overfeeding him trying to put weight on him. 3 small meals a day 2hours after exercise and he will be fine she says give him 2 long walks a day and let him wander about the garden as much as possible :D :D

just in from checking him he is back to normal again was doing a bit of looking on the net an i dont think it is bloat [hopefully] his belly is not swollen hes still going to the vet first thing in the morning

every time he makes a sound put the hose on him i have 2 terriers and they used to bark there heads off now they dont make a sound unless they see a cat of somone goes out the back or try a bark coller

they said as long as his breathing is back to normal he will be ok to the morning he seems ok now he is up walking about and he is breathing ok and his tail is wagging

there is only 3 vets where i am and the 3 of them told me to bring him to them in the morning wan*ers :( :( :( :(

can anyone tell me what bloat is and can it be cured jack had near fatal moment to day i took him on a long walk today and he ended up in a fit he was trying to vomit but nothing but air was coming out he was gasping for air and his tounge went blue i got him home with a mate in a van and he seems to be ok now he is laying in the garden a passer by said it looked like he had bloat tomorrow morning is the earlyst i can get him to the vets

cheers for the advice people i will hold off for a while yet on foxs. he is near imposible to run i have started taking him out with my bike and it ends in disaster every time he pulls me all over the place the only way i can get him to run is show him a rabbit an hes away like a flash. i walk him roughly 6-7 mile in the morning on the beach and walk him to the field with rabbits in it in the evening an give him 1 or 2 slips and walk home whis is around 5 mile there and back. i just thought if i took him with me lamping at the weekends 1 or 2 slips a night would give him an extra bit of exerci

just a wee update on jack i will have him a month on fri the mange is all dead an the hair is growing back slowly i have just started him running on monday and and im slipping him on rabbits every chance i get but hasnt caught any im starting him on the lamp for foxs next week just to give him an extra bit of running the first pic is of when i just got him
