  1. believe me its very hot , i was lucky enough to have a lot of permission before the ban , but now as soon as anyone sees you with a running dog you d think a murder had been commited with the amount of police that turn up.
  2. theres an exception to every rule ,i live in the heart of the fens and my best hare dog was only 21ths and looked like a leggy terrier , i got him as a 7 week old pup with ferreting and bushing in mind but he took a liking to the long ears and rarely missed them once he got bending them . but as i say he for me was the exception and no doubt i ll never have another one like him, and i must agree when running on fen if they haven t got the knack of picking up quick then they ve got to run forever which is where the saluki blood comes in.
  3. here's a picture of my seagull bred bitch. hopefully in pup to a good daytime fen dog.
  4. nice looking bitch, what size are you expecting the pups to make?
  5. it seems that this sort of thing is on the increase, i had a couple of lads with there hoods up hanging around by my garden late last night, the dogs were going mad so i shone my lamp out of the bedroom window and they soon fu--ed off, i never get anyone hanging about so now the alarm bells are ringing won t be able to sleep properly now. tossers the lot of them...

    kestrals

hi everyone ,just wondering have any of you falconry people ever known of a kestral taking anything bigger than voles and mice ? i was walking the dogs out yesterday with my sons and saw a kestral take a baby rabbitt, i wasn t seeing things because we found the bunny where it flew up from. thanks.
  9. were always getting hasssled by the plod, even when on permission. had the helicopter over us no end of times, its a real pain now. cambridgeshire.....
  10. correct waidmann , just not awake yet, foot in mouth springs to mind ...
  11. nice dog mate , but was that a ferreted rabbit let go for him ? it didn t seem to know where to go.... this is not a criticism i ve done it reguarly to get a pup going.
  12. you get good and bad in any breeding, no matter how good the lines meant to be. personly i ve seen some cracking workers from laguna lines.
  13. my ex missus was an odd dog ...
  14. i used to buy it reguarly up until a couple of years ago, now its just full of shit and adverts . the so called advice given in the articles to lurcher and terrier men is an insult to people who reguarly work there dogs, what a load of bollocks.... can t really say anymore about it.. carry on hunting people and f--k the ban.
  15. stuck in the f - -ck-ng house , car out of action again. dogs going to go mad.

  16. only if i wanted one for the pot, in my opinion they deserve a decent chance to get away and they don t get that at night , they tend to panic more than a bunny and often run straight down the beam at you . used to do it a lot years ago but would now rather save the dogs energy for a few more rabbits.
  17. i ve got 2 of this breeding and both are excellent. they ve both thrown back to the whippet but with the fire and heart of the terrier. my dog is 20 in and my bitch is 18in . my dog although small is more than capable of taking anything you put in front of him and the little bitch you can t keeep out of the hedge , a perfect combination.
  18. she actually pulled it out by the neck alive and then it was finished off, she was a very hard little dog on foxes but also was a very good little ferreting dog and wouldn t even look at the ferrets. i have got a few more pics i ll sort out and put on .
  19. heres a few pics of my terrier pulling a fox out of the earth back in the 1980's
