    just thought i would put a couple of photos of my new lurcher had him nearly a month now. he had never been out no training so a blank sheet to work with he is 6 months old 3/4gray 1/4collie rought coated and breeder said he will make 27tts. coming together lovely so happy and proud of him. i was told when i brought him some people will turn there nose up at him because he is too white i said i know how he feels ill take him. but to be honest he picked me i went there thinking ill get a bitch about 24tts and one a bit younger but wasnt really bothered about colour but as soon as i seen him he

    had dogs all my life but just got my first lurcher so not sure if i qualify to have an opinion on this but i think we need to give dogs more credit i just think it doesnt attack cats or hens because it can tell the differance from chicken and pheasant the same as a lurcher will kill a fox but doesnt kill another dog that maybe of similar colour,size and hight it meets on walks. a wild animal acts different to domesticated animals. also as other people have said body language is a massive factor when your in the field hunting with your dog or dogs your acting very different your on the look out

    did u try to pick her up while or just after they were playing and running about they can get over excited also its all new to them mate. or if its the same jill keeps going for u she may have injuried herself in the new run and might be in pain mate

    it happens mate we all get it. i had one not so long ago and my hunting bud is still taking the p*ss didnt hit a thing. the more u think about it the worse it gets but if u keep getting days where your missing get on the clays to get your confidence back. ATB mate

    hi mate i would let them see each other in there hutch or run through the wire mesh first of all keeping the dog on the lead and every time the dog goes to get to close say leave it or no then when u have that cracked tie the dog up or get someone else to hold him and handle the ferrets in front of the dog let them sniff each other buts its not just the dog u will have to watch its the ferrets too because if they bite your dog it might put the dog off for good or worse. when your happy with that u can put the ferrets on the floor in front of the dog but still keeping it on the lead and still
