  14. ok simon gun seems fine ,had it chronod with the superdomes at my local gun shop bamfords putting out a good 11.51 with a brilliant 5fps .so im very happy with the numbers.seems to be very smooth,so a good start so far.also they have a 77k in mint condition with scope in .22 for only 195.00 could be my bad weather back up gun ,who knws seems like a bargain.atb carl
  15. yeh really really happy with it mate .just one of those guns that you automatically ffit into ,the feel of it and the balance is perfect for me .like i said earlier ithought the brilliant left hand stock on the tx fitted me but its opened my eyes simon .just because the tx was left handed and its still one of the best in my opinion i just couldnt hold it the same way everytime if you can understand that.maybe its cause its not has harsh in recoil and i can maintain a nicer relaxed hold with it,but the hw is in my opinion is easy to shoot more than the tx and more importantly i can feel more co

  17. well pianoman took the .22 hw97k out this afternoon, not had the chance to zero it in till today because of the gusty wind.set the zero up at 30yds,no wind and set about it with the superdomes.started off at 15yds in line but slightly low.once sorted moved out to 30yds left abit right abit ok.sorted did a five shot set around 15mm centre to centre ,happy with that .then moved my plastic spoon target out to 35yds ,tried 1 mildot down bang straight centre of the 30mm spoon, brill.fired another four into it nothing left of the target.moved the spoon target out to 40yds tried 2 mildots under just cl
  18. thanks for that simon cant wait, much obliged mate, ill let you know how things develope practice practice practice .
  19. well mate swapped the tx .177 for the hw97k .22,so just afew questions if you dont mind .whats the best range to zero it in 25 yds or 30 yds.im using 14.5 grains.and would you set targets out at 5yd going up to 40yds to learn the basic trajectory.ill tell something else mate it feels a lot better balanced than the tx to .cant wait to start learning again .the pellets are alot easier to cope with to because of the old arthritis, any help with or tips off any guys on here who use .22 for hunting would be greatly appreciated thanks lads.
  20. after using .177 for years fancy getting a .22 hw97k only for hunting ,some say that they are only usable for short to middle range hunting, but whats the differance roughly in inches in trajectory over say 35 to 40 yds, than a .177 .also how many of you still use a .22 underlever for hunting .the pellets ill be using in the .22 will be superdomes which i usually find are ok in german barrels any info will be appreciated thanks
  21. hi lads hope youve all had a crackin day, just a bit of advice needed an owner of a bit of permisson is plauged by loads of rabbits at mo been hitting them hard in the day ,which is good because of the amount.but he wants to be hitting them at night also, the trouble is im still running the gun in at present and havent been lamping for years also ive never used a gun mounted lamp before so would you advise running the gun in properly and how would you go about practising with the lamp? thanks lads
  22. looking to swap a left handed txhc only a few months old,in .177 looking for a good pcp in .177 ,tx in brand new condition, cheers
  23. 10.5 grain pellets are ok to use in a 177 the problem arises when you fire 21grains + from a 12fpe gun.I found that 8.5 JSB's were as hard hitting as most other pellets from a springer.Crosman Premiers and Bisley magnum (H&N Baracuda)are the most accurate heavweights. The crossman pellets are the ones in the cardboard boxes mind not the tins. There is a difference and it shows in the balistic efficiency of the real premiers. Some 177 springers need to be retuned to stay at 11+fpe with heavy pellets, just make sure you keep on the legal side if you do this.As when you go back to light pellets y
