    took him for a short run today only an hour or so and hes just like normal ,hes eating normally ,nothing seems strange with him,back to the vets in the morning,in my eyes its looking good but you never know,thanks for your input everyone atb carl.by the way the bait contained bromadiolone and the tub gave instructions specifying to get treatment within a 18 hour window.

    firstly thanks for the replies i picked him up at 5pm ,hed been there since 9am,the vet said he seemed okay and that he thought id took him there early enough so i was happy but still wary.the dog seemed no differant in himself,tail going a hundred to the dozen .he gave me a course of tablets to give him over a period of 2 weeks ,vk1.i have to take him back first thing after weekend,for a blood test,obviously look for signs ,white gums blood in the whites of his eyes ,etc.rest him cause even turning over can(if its the worse case)start him bleeding on the inside.so its a fecking wait im on pin

    my borders ate quite a lot of rat poison ,got him to the vets within 2 hours ,whats his chances ,or will it have a lasting effect ,ie his lungs or anything else thanks carl.

    the local gamekeeper baits them up sometimes and shoots them with his rifles.i keep out of his way cos on one occasion he took the local butcher with him and the butcher shot[ under darkness]i might add his own terrier.so i have the morning and afternoon ,and he shoots everything in sight at night .go out at night no feckin way.

    thanks for the replies lads ,ozs me mate and i take him every morning with and without the gun.if its a good day i return with the gun and have a proper do ,but funny thing is after a couple of hours out i seem to miss him being there.its good sometimes just watching youre hard work that you put into them come to fruition and the little grin that appears on your faceatb lads.

    well the weathers still bad ,heavy drizzle and gusty winds.so i decied to leave the gun at home and take the border as per usual.i thought id go to one of my permissons and have a recce and see whats knocking about with the dog.one this permisson its a disuesd railway and on my stretch it runs for around 2 miles,its the mecca of rabbit warrens and over the past few months ive been in the process of cutting all the brambles down just leaving the heather up both sides of the embankment, now i can see the warren entrances and all the runs and have a clearer view .ive also built 3 or 4 natural hid

    good vid si,some can and some cant ,im afraid i cant well not with a springer mate.i dont think some people understand how long and how m uch effort you put in with your guns ,not some weekend warrior pal.it goes to show its how much hard work and persistence can pay off.every credit to you and davy for the time you both put in for the channel atb carl.

    cant believe it ,stuck both hw97s and all my gear in the boot of my car and took them to work.we were finishing at 4 in the morning and thought id go hunting straight from there.parked the car in the compound and on finishing notice the boot lock had been hammered through,feck me no i thought ,my heart beating ten to the dozen,but the theiving b*****ds had took the guns and left everything else.my own fault i suppose i was only giving my mate a lift .i didnt know wether to laugh or feckin cry.rang the bobbies but you know how that story will pan out .absolutely gutted i loved them guns .so tol
