    hi mate i wouldn't worry to much about it,my bitch had a phantom pregnancy about 2 mths ago and the vet said to just let it take it's coarse and it should clear in or around 4wks,but as you have said look out for the milk getting infected,if this happens you will notice around her nipples will be swolen and hard(about the size of a tennis ball maybe a bit smaller)this happened to my bitch when she had a litter and all the vet done was give her an injection and she was fine after about 4-5 days,hope this helps,cheers......john:thumbs: forgot to say,my bitch was a bit depressed but no other symp

    thanks stroller,she does look alot like your kelpie x,she is a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy,i really have enjoyed the training i have been giving her,but it's great to get her out in the field,this is when the hard work begins lol,onwards and upwards,cheers......john:thumbs:

    finally got out with molly and the ferrets today,i have had 3 small warrens picked out for this day,so at 11.00am this morning i got to my permission with one of my hobs,longnet,12 purse nets and molly,first warren i had picked out was a big sloe bush surrounded by long grass which had 5 holes,set up the longnet around it,while i was doing this molly ran into the net twice but she quickly learned to jump over it,after giving 10 mins to settle i entered my hob,molly at this stage was watching calmly,after about 5 mins my hob popped back out again,an empty warren,onto the other warren that i had

    i get ofcuts from my butcher every tuesday/wednesday,feeds my 3 dogs for a week most times,i give him a bottle of vodka once a month,everyones a winner,cheers......john

    i did see both parents,but not sure of their height,my bitch was the smallest in the litter of 4 (she was the only bitch),is it normal for their growth to slow up at this age,cheers......john:thumbs:

    ye there is plenty for them to do round here but they are not bothered about real crime like our mate when his dog got stolen they never even come out pricks exactly what i mean turbotyke,REAL CRIME,not a few lads/lassies out for a bit of sport,the ways of the rural community will soon be a thing of the past,cheers......john:thumbs:

    why do you say that? By all means let the pup watch what goes on round the sets, but before you let it go on runners ensure it is mentally and physically mature to deal with what you are asking it to do. By the look of the photo it isnt ready for hard strenuous work, being a pup, frustration could set in and start yapping, take your time mate, dont spoil a cracking little dog by being too eager to start it.
