    i own the dobie and go shooting with my ess and essxlab cross on walks the dobie hunt with them works cover and is not too bad so a couple of years ago decided to try her on the lamp she's not quick but is able to take her share a bit more brain than you would think..she will also work with ferrets. the dog is a friends of mine he is a quick little od and works with ferrets and on the lamp..i wanted a litter from my bitch but did not want to put her too another dobie and wanted to find out if as a cross it would work both parents do work well enough for me..i know i will get stick for the cro

    hi andy have done most of the spings and the barrel pins have been modded so no wobble,am in the process of drilling the piston head and adding some lead to it to see if this helps the performance will post picks of work in due course...am sure the additional wieght will help and it will not shake loose due to the pistons travel as this mod has worked on a airsporter.. countrykids mercury is on hold at mo his mum was a bit worried that someone offered him a free air rifle..but it's here to be tuned..

    best of luck with the pest control and if you need any help more than happy to advise...worked for a few companies and did quite a few interesting jobs.

    hi tried photobucket, but no luck have pics of my dobies pups and a few others for airgun section...if i can't fix it with a big hammer and cold bar then i am a bit lost

    feck me country kid my in laws own fair oak fishery in st arvans at the cot if i get the gun there ytou can pick it up i don't like the in laws but they have a use mate.

    country kid not the best to say...try i will work with whales and save the planet...not bleeding control it...but the gun is yours even if i have to travel down to drop it off...just checked i have 13 air rifles here...

    hi ok am new to site and post's so far have been different...i started hunting with an air rifle when i was given an ols webley.....at the age of 9....have not stopped since ... have offered country kid a bsa mercury .22 cal 577 fps with eley wasp....unless we can tune it up a little..why...because the sport needs young blood if at the age of 9 no one gave me a gun i would not have the self disapline i have today ...so come on make 2010 the year country kid gets a gun....anyone have a 4x40 for him have mounts... oh poo classic mercury's are making £110.00 but a promise is a promise..

    ok callum it's yours lets just tune it up and will pass my friends address onto you when it's ready.my in laws run a trout fishery outside chepstow if that is a better collection point...so all you other's lets tune this mercury on line for countrykid..see other post...it's yours country kid if you want....

    np countrykid have a knack for getting springers working.my friend know a few around the dean he does a lot with huskies and as you follow rugby am more than willing to help my nephew will play for wales soon poor sod.. you fancy a bsa mercury for nowt????

    oh feck just being told by a mate about the time i knocked myself out cold when deer spotting (read poaching) in the 's with a barrnet crossbow the string snapped and sent the bolt backwards ....i had a total memory block....

    ok have two bsa mercury's have the gear to tune and test.tool's,chorno,and time. will do the normal spring,washer,weights,porting,lubs . but have you lot any ideas will do it with all the bits i have and will only use eley wasp 5.6 mm as they are best for older bsa's at mo one kicking out 558 fps with 14.64gr wasp. other 577fps with same pellet.. any one with an idea they wanted testing...

    as i started this post yes my fault,phantom has been honest and i respect him totally for that.then perfect people come and have a pop at his honesty. so you are saying nick that you have never lost your rag,never kicked a door,swore at the fourth nut on that engine that you can't get to,screamed at the tv.if you have never lost your rag sir then i for one will stay well clear when life hands you a bad card for all heel is going to brake out. sometimes it takes a better man to set the pains of the world onto himself than release onto others. mods please close this thread before it gets to n

    after reading these how many of us do wear safty glasses when shooting ..i do..now.. as for never had a shooting accident good for you but thats why they are called accidents you don't set out to shoot yourself in the eye,hand,leg,nuts...

    after reading this one,don't feel too bad about the 8 dobie x whippetlurcher pups i have in front of me now.both dogs work and at 3 weeks the pups are looking good.

    before people start having a go mine was a mistake as i never checked to see if a empty 12 bore shell was primed. i do now .how many others check. as for the hospital zini you go to a and e around here and sit for 8 hours while the drunks get sorted, 2 mins and the glues dried.
