I think it is better to talk about my dogs with people who have seen them working.

What ever it is, ...it works good for me.

I don't know where you live, but in my area people have no phantasies if they see full dressed childs bite in a bone. And if we would know there is somebody in the near who have it, we would give him a life of pain.

Will be continue....

@ GD Waz You are right, I need more experiences in earthwork. I am allways searching for work, but I haven't found enough till now. I have used my bulldogs on wild boar over many years, but not proffessional and often. I am still in progress and have to learn more about earthwork. The reason why I write about breeding is because of my knowledge in Bulldog breeding since 1982. Maybe I am wrong with my opinions about breeding, but till now I don't think so. ...Time will tell.

My experiences and my knowledge is not from hunting dogs, it's from APBTs, but I can't believe that there is a very big difference. Dont fool yourself mate, there is a world of difference in the two. And when you attempt to produce true worker/hunters you will discover this for yourself. The APBT was bred to fight or finishing ability which DOES NOT HAVE SHITE TO DO WITH HUNTING TRAITS!! It is exactly this train of thought that is killing the true working terrier. Also explains why there is so few terriers that will actually complete the task the type was originated for. I can say

There is a big range how the different lines are looking. Here are 2 pics of two of my dogs from the past. I wanted to post more pics, but I have gone over the "global upload quota"

I haven't the pedigree of the 2 females and they are not ADBA registered, but I know that their ancestors has worked very well. I have got them from gypsies who matched their ancestors. There was only 1 AmStaff from X-Pert in the 4th generation of the older one.

Sometimes they call me to work with my APBTs on wild boar. But we can only work them on places where are no tourists or walker. If somebody see us working with APBTs he call the police and tell them that we set bad fighting dogs on poor wild boars. It's a shame that this beautiful breed has such a bad reputation. I was bitten by many dogs in my life, but never by a APBT.

I have had APBTs and mixes since 1982. Can't say anything bad about this breed. Most of them are very human friendly and easy to handle. Here is a pic of my females. Mother and daughter. 14 and 9 years old.

I think it's a question that couldn't be answered with a percentage number, or with yes or no. How many Terriermen use their dogs day by day below to the fox? There are more who use their dogs only at the weekends and on various quarry, from marten to wild boar. I have seen some fantastic Bull-X Patterdales on wild boar, but I don't think that a pure earthdog needs Bull-blood. Every hunter I have talked about dogs, has told me a different opinion what he prefers. And most of them weren't objective talking about their dogs or disparage the dogs of the others. It's very individual what kind

Last season I have tried him on man made fox burrows, but he was a little too big for the plastic pipe. He tried to destroy the pipe, but didn't enter it. Only for a body length. On the same day he caught one above and scotched it in a few seconds. Three weeks ago he entered a natural burrow, but the fox escaped (too many entrances, some very hidden). I think he lacks nose. He scent the fox in the burrow, but not much better like I do. He is a strong finisher, so I will test him next season on badger. He works very good on wild boar and is able to work in a pack, even with stranger dogs.

I have a uge barrel with water on my yard. If 2 dogs are fighting I throw them in the water. After it I have no problems with them for minimum one day, ...often for a longer time. ...This tip was by Mr. Booth, and it works.
