  7. We had a red Lakeland bitch stuck to ground in a rock pile on the side of Snowdon for 30 hours. In the end we had to call out the Snowdon Mountain Rescue, man they are the BOYS. They worked in silence, they knew exactly what to do. The bitch had got up on a ledge and could not get back down. On the plus side she did bolt three red uns.
  8. Here is a picture of the two lurchers I am running this season, the brindle bitch on the left is 3/4 bull 1/4 greyhound, the dog on the right is her father who is 1st cross bull/greyhound second generation.
  9. Thanks for the positive feedback lads, nice to see some genuine remarks instead of a lot of crap that is on here sometimes. It is nice to know that the older generation are using this Site and contributing in a positive way. Obviously the older generation have a lot to contribute to this site, and should be respected and listened to. YIS, WW.

  11. Hi mate, the smallest bitch is 10lb and the other is 12lb. When I first started hunting in the early seventies, the Terrierman for our local Hunt had a strain of 10" JRT's that could bottle up a fox in no time at all, and go the distance. I do believe some of his stock came from the late BG.
  12. Thanks for positive replies, hopefully reds. Both well bred SD bloodlines. This picture is the one of the smaller bitch, try later to get the other one on.
  13. As it says on the tin. I have for this season two Patterdale Bitches, one ten months old and ten inches at the shoulder and a seven month old bitch that is about eleven inches. Both are work bred. Do you think they are too small for serious earth work? I shall put some photos up shortly.

  18. Here is a photo of my BullxWhippet, he is 211/2". He was bred in South Wales, I have tried to find out more about the dog but to no avail. He is coming up three years old.
  19. Here are a couple of photos of Alwyn in his younger days. Alwyn was a noted Terrier Judge in his day, and also ran a successful Show in Llanfair T.H. in North Wales. I hunted with Alwyn on numerous occassions and found him a very knowledgeable man. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.
