  1. hi all, now ive seen plenty of posts on here asking for pics of dogs and there have been some cracking ones.. though id start something a bit different and ask you to post some shots of your dogs at full tilt. so heres a couple for starters
  2. loch awe mate, unbeatable - www.loch-awe.co.uk its a big water but if you want a few tips let me know. got family up there and fish a couple of times a year. last trip 5 doubles including two 20s to 25lb 6.. from the shore - ace from boat too.

  4. umm, thank guys - will see how he goes. does anyone know of a non KC reg litter of saluki pups from the backpool area that would be about 6 months old? we rehomed him from a guy that had him in the west midlands that had to change jobs just after he got him. long shot i know.. but would be interested to hear a bit more about our pups background. alb Ol
  5. hi all, got a saluki pup, and over the last 3 months he has shot up. not almost the same size as my saluki whippet of 2 and a half. hes about 24" tts and weighs about 16.5kgs.. how big do you think he will make? not sure of his parents as he is remomed with me and i dont know much about his breeding background. trainings coming on well - he comes back, which is a good start! retrieves pretty well too. should be interesting next season.   6. i agree - .410 back of the head - efficient and instant.. culled plenty of old sheep back on the farm.
  7. little bit of a temperature, some swelling around the jab and crying a bit? seemed ok after a couple of days. just wondered if anyone else had experienced this?
  8. our saluki pup had its first jabs and had a mild reaction. any hone had similar? it was nobivac lepto 2 and dhppi?
  9. oh yeah, dont get me wrong, i wasnt complaining - saves a dig if it wont bolt! just thought it was interesting and will be interested to see if it continues. was so funny to see thought!
  10. thought id pop out for a quick ferret tonight after work.. i knew a few sets that were open and held a few last year so off we went. first 2 small sets were empty with little sign of anything, the dog didnt seem to be to interested in them either. time was getting on so thought we would try the last one with fresh digs with no nets to give the dog a bit of practice. down the ferret went, a silver jill just starting her second season. had a blinder of a season last year considering it was her first, few noised down the hole and the dog was ready to strike next to a hole.. thought it was all abo
  11. useful stuff cheers guys.. i need to get sorted as went out last night and it died after 4 rabbits! there were loads about though, conditions were perfect - only time when wind and rain is useful!!
  12. ive got a culite clubman delux 1m c/p. my battery only lasts about an hour, does any one know if you can get lith-ion batteries for them? its got a jack plug instead of a cig lighter socket or is there another way round it???? any help would be appreciated!! ALB Oli

  15. sounds great that had a week on that loch some of the biggest rainbows ive ever seen and some big pike on the fly beautiful place,the locals even said that the water quality was so good that the rainbows were possibly breeding.atb Yet me know if your interested and ill get some good prices - pull a few family strings to get some hunting life discount! the fly seems to be getting some good results up there for the pike, heard from a mate whoes up there at the monent and he had 9 to 19lb on the first day. im heading up in a few weeks, cant wait!

  18. year your right - ferox to just under 32lb. cast of the current and past british brown trout records hang in the bar the ardbrecknish. not easy to catch though!

  24. hi, took the dog out for her normal walk tonight, she seemed fine though ate a bit if grass then was sick.. though she does do this every now and again.. then get her home and she didnt tuck in to her food.. instead she sat down and looked a bit quiet and her stomachs making the most odd gurgling noises! shes after a lot of fuss too, more than usual.. anyone got any clues? am stayting in to keep an eye on her tonight... shes a 2 year old saluki whippet... cheers
