  1. How are you getting on with the NM800 Deano? I was looking at one of these with the red LED too. PMC
  2. Me and my shooting buddy both carry our tickets as a matter of course. I have mine in in a plastic wallet bought from a stationary shop, which conveniently fits in the pocket of my rifle slip. FAC is as pristine as the day it arrived and ready to reassure the uninformed copper that may wish to pull me over PMC
  3. Great workmanship! As said before, you may find you'll be a bit busier now! PMC
  4. Have a look on Gun trader, over 450 bolt action 22lr advertised for sale, at various prices to suit any budget: []=Rifle&Filter[NewMechanism][]=Bolt%20Action&Filter[Calibre][]=.22%20LR&perPage=30&sortField=Price&sortOrder=asc"]http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/results.php?fetch=Results&Filter[NewType][]=Rifle&Filter[NewMechanism][]=Bolt%20Action&Filter[Calibre][]=.22%20LR&perPage=30&sortField=Price&sortOrder=asc PMC
  5. It always pays to make sure you're correct yourself before you correct someone else eh? Fair one, post in in a rush and pay the price!
  6. I remember being told growing up to only shoot rabbits when there was an "R" in the month, that way they have 4 months without shooting to limit the chances of orphaning young. However, as others have stated if the land owner wants them gone gone and you are wanting to keep the permission then you best be providing the service. Sometimes shooting is all about pleasure and other times it's a bit more like a job I suppose. PMC
  7. Nikon Pro-staff 3-9x50 on my 22lr. I love it, think it's a great scope for not a huge wedge of cash. PMC
  8. Depends in part as to what calibre you are planning to apply for on your fac. If you're talking something along the lines of a rimfire or maybe a smaller calibre centre fire you shouldn't have too much difficulty. If you're thinking of going for something like a .270 or .308 then they might be less keen . Apologies if that's teaching you to suck eggs! PMC
  9. I think it's a probationary period set by the shooting club as a prospective member of the club, as opposed to a period of probation following a conviction of some sort. PMC
  10. Someone I know applied to Devon and Cornwall Police for his coterm FAC/shottie in october last year, waited til January for his visit and then finally got his cert on friday. The whole process took nearly twenty bloody weeks! Apply sooner rather than later as you never know how long the process will be made by your local police. PMC
  11. Let him see the information on applying in the "firearms certificate" sticky thread at the top of this section. It's got lots of really useful info. PMC
  12. You don't need to be a member of a club to get your fac mate, they are spinning you a load of crap there. If you have good reason to hold a firearm, which you do as you have pest control on land you have permission to shoot over, then club membership isn't required. Just apply for it bud. PMC
