  1. My 453 varmint with a 22 inch barrel cost £335 I got a SAK mod for about £30, the scope mounts again were about £30 and I went for a Bushnell 3200 elite in 3-9 x 50 (which is crystal clear and I am WELL impressed with and is brilliant lamping in low light) which I got on sale from the gun shop which was reduced to £250 from £400 I also got two 10 round clips at £27 a throw each. I bought it all from Wilson and Wilson in kent, they are brilliant and really knowledgable, plus because I bought it all from them in one go they gave me a blinding deal, thats why all the prices I have quot
  2. Is there anywhere that you can get tuning parts for a CZ 452/453? I you search for ruger 10/22 bits you can get anthing! From the forum it seams that many of us have gone for cz rimfires but there doesn't seem to be anyone specialising in mod parts especially stocks. Or have I missed this? I really fancy getting a thumbhole stock for my 453 but there just doesnt seem to be anywhere that makes a 'drop in' new stock. If anyone knows of anywhere doing 452/453 bits I wuld be really interested. Or has anyone made any interesting moderations to there cz's any pics would be really intere

  4. I second bicykillgaz's comments, I got my .22 licence about 5 months ago and I bought myself a CZ-453 (which is the same as a 452 but you can push the trigger blade forward and it gives you a light pull set trigger)I bought the heavy bareld varmint version with a 22 inch barrel and it is really really accurate (when I get it right anyway!!) I cannot recomend it highly enough, however I wouldn't bother with the 453 I would go for the 452 as I NEVER use the set trigger set up. I looked very closly at the new Browning T Bolt first and I couldnt see the difference was worth 200 odd quid, a
  5. Thanks clay man, I appreciate the advice, I have never really understood the difference between a clay gun and a sporter? surely if it fits and shoots where your aiming it doesnt really matter if your pointing at a claim or a pheasant? Cheers Jonno
  6. Hello Mate, Have you sold these now or are they still avalable? Cheers Jonno
  7. Hi all, I have been shooting for quite a while and I have always had a problem finding a gun that fits as I'm 6'4 and have rather long arms. I went fox chasing recently on a friends farm and I thought I was going to be driving so didn't take a gun. Anyway long story short ended up borrowing a friends Browning 525 and absolutley loved it and found it fitted very nicely and shot where I was aiming! so..... I went to the local gun shop to buy one, when I was there the owner suggested I try a Cynergy as these tend to fit some bigger chaps even better. But its a bit more money and I am not
  8. Hi, I have my .22 rifle license and I have a cz 453 which I am very happy with and do not want to get rid of! However I am doing a lot of bunny lamping and would very much like to get a semi auto for ease (probably a ruger 10/22 or remington 597) My FAC only allows me one .22 does anyone have experience of asking for more than one rifle of the same calibre? At the time of my application the firearms officer said that this was not normal as they were worried that people only wanted two guns of the same calibre so they could take a friend shooting. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
