THE SALUKI CROSS GREYHOUND, WHAT A CONTROVERSIAL ANIMAL HE IS! ON THE ONE HAND HE IS CONSIDERED THE BEST TYPE FOR SINGLE-HANDED HARE COURSING. MANY DEVOTED OWNERS SWEAR BY THE SALUKI /GREYHOUNDS ABILITY TO UNRAVEL THE TWISTS AND TURNS OF HARE COURSING AND STATE THAT HE IS THE ONLY TYPE OF LONGDOG THAT CAN DO THIS TO A HIGH STANDARD ON A REGULAR BASIS. for starters i wouldnt run a hare with a seasoned dog ..it proves nothing ...UNLESS it was a pest control job ..which would never happen to me anyway because i dont do pest control ..but if thats the job you have took on then that job has to be done ......the only other reason is what i said a page back ...to fetch a young dog on ..it wont learn to run a hare on the back of a rabbit .. ..........and confidence is a great thing to enter into any young dogs mind ....i.e an easy hare ...or two ..pre ban off course ..some things are better not said on the net ...but i challenge any man who h

it seems to be a touchy subject ..... ..how would you lads bring a young dog on for the on coming season ....hare dog of course ...would you run soft hares ,,,,or not .....and wait till there moving abit ???just a thought
