that makes sense diggit a mate of mine doubled up on some large quarry..NOT A FOX....and the two dogs collided and one of them was killed instantly broken neck..the other dog had no injuries but was very lucky the trouble is finding someone who has a dog for that purpose .speaking for myself that is ....the lads i no do mainly rabbits and longears and the odd bambi..i would personally like to fetch my dog on when hes a bit older but not many lurcher lads that do that sort of thing round my way not that i would call exsperensedanyway..

youve lost me on that one i think a lot of people under estimate the actual running ability of the fox , they take some catching day or night Sorry, prehaps i should of made my self more clear. In the daytime, the fox on his own ground, will in most cases, escape. But, when lamped and if the dog is sliped right, the fox gets dazzled and makes for a ditermined dog, to come to turms with the fox easier. Frank. dont no if i agree there frank ithink the only advantage at night you can get closer to them easier..once the fox is out of the beam he is surley harder to catch ..

Ill put them up in the new year for u cheers pal looking foward to seeing them ..as i say tho dont no if he is sorted or not .but if he is they will go like hot cakes anyway ..wish i could take one meself but i got alot on at the monent not dogs just other things and you need time for a pup and iam still training mine ...but with parents like them they have alot of potencial in the right hands... :thumbs-up:

try feed it speratly from the other dogs so you can moniter how much its eating the oher dogs might nickit and just give it more.. to put weight on a dog give it chicken and tuna cod liver oil ..just give it more food ... iam going to hve to stop smoking this shit my spellings getting fecking worse..

is it a youngish dog did it get a few nasty nips on the last fox .it could be many things your mate has to look at the pros and cons ...i might be wrong but it sounds to me like its had its confedense knocked a wee bit...

i maybe not exspersnesd enought to comment on this but i dont think a dog gives a shite wether its night or day ..meaning if it can kill them in the day it can kill them at night ..they may be able to give them the slip easer at night once out of the beam but if the dog can kill a fox i dont think it gives a f**dk what time it is..my veiw anyway ..if iam wrong i will srand corrected... sorry about the spelling :drag: just had a large roll up..

CHEERS DIGGIT ..MY MATE WAS AFTER A DOG PUP.. IF YOU COULD PUT A PIC OF TWO DOGS UP I WILL SHOW HIM WHEN HE COMES UP FOR NEW YEARS .HAVENT SPOKE TO HIM FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS ..BUT I DONT THINK HES GOT ANYTHING SORTED..BUT NOT SURE ..THEY ALL LOOK CRACKING DOGS.....CHEERS AGAIN PAL...

dont really no anyone use labs for ferreting but if it can mark well then why not....cant imagaine it catching many bolters pal.but you no your dog .......if it dont work out get a whippet or a beddy x whippet..best of luck anyway...

you shouldnt have any probs finding holmes for them ...whats R.R having dog or bitch.??? are you keeping one back for your self...if my mate so them he would be very tempted...they have thrown a good array of cuolors aswell....very nice what percentage ofbull in parents ..and what will that make the pups ...?? fook me fifty questons ....

theres a thread on hear somewhere how to make a lure rew it was not long ago either..dont do tread mills myself i always take them out no matter what..when iam feeling like a lazy tw*T.i take em dowon this country lane near where i live... let them out for a shite and that...abit of a sniff about.and drive back with them trotting at the back of the motor for about a mile and ahalf ..nice and steady tho 10 or 15 mph...and put my foot down for the last 2 or 3 hundred yards and shout them out of my window...they love it but i must admit the terrier loves it more than me lurcher..some people might

theres loads in this park near me but theres always somebody about they feed them as well.. some eat out off there hands.ill take a bag off nuts oneday to get them in the open.and have a bit of sport with me dogs ... good laugh getting a few greys..

dont use anything there kennel is insulated and draft free thats all they need ....unless its a shivering whippit they could do with some kind of heating or jacket as they have very thin skin and afine coat thats my opinion anyway ..i do keep my two dogs together tho so they can snuggle up if they feel the need...

somtimes it better to watch your quarry than to kill isat and watched two roe for twenty mins about 100 yards away idid actually start to release my slip but didnt for some reason ...and when they wandered into the copice i walked to the next field and ran and nailed a hare ....strange old world..
