  1. you probably wont like hearing this mate, but the dog was out of control in a public place. in a nut shell, its your fault. i know you said its gonna cost you £50 for the vets bill. but maybe a card and a bunch of flowers might go a long way. i know it sounds like creeping, but pride goweth before a fall. i know because iv been there. atb with it mate. let me know what happens.
  2. all im saying is be careful what he posts. and im not on about people banning ratting. work it out
  3. its also illegal to "GIVE" rats to a dog. its classed as baiting. wait until the dog has got his adult teeth through, then take him somewhere that there is rats.once he smells them and sees them pottering about, the penny will drop. there is no rush. dont want him being hard bitten while still young and setting him back mate. also watch what you p[ost anyone could be reading your posts. (antis) they dont need any ammo. atb
  4. hi all, not been on this forum before. ive been reading a few threads that ive found interesting. was just wondering what a stink midden is, and the purpose for having one. is the purpose of it so you can catch foxes from it?
  5. you may need to weld something into the exhaust hole of the strimmer/chainsaw. i find a compressed air line fitting is perfect, and you can also match it to the diameter of the hose you are using, then you just need a jubilee clip.
  6. yeah he has steve, both sides of his great grandparents. cheers for the replies lads.
  7. upload the pics into your pc. then open a photobucket account. (its free and simple)trnsfer pics to photo bucket account. then click on image code, of the pic you want. then copy and paste it to your post. hope this helps mate.
  8. iv got the mk 2 but had probs with it. only used it in sub zero temps. not im pressed to be honest.i much prefer the chainsaw smoker but like you say the noise is a factor. but i also think that the noise and the vibration help with bolting the rats. atb p.s any pics of today.
  9. after yesterdays success, thought id have a little wander round the plots to see if we could pick anything up. first of all we had a look round the top shed. not a sausage. no marks off the dog. then we had a walk down to the plastic sheets, that was being used as a larder yesterday. again no interest was shown round the sheets, but i decided to lift them, and have a little look. there was quite a big pile of bread here yesterday but today there wasnt even a trace of it. next eli headed over to the compost bin where we bolted a rat yesterday, but after a quick sniff, he decided that no-one w
  10. cheers fireman. we get a lot of single ones this way. just scenting about and waiting for a mark. the permission i have dosnt hold as many rats as other peoples, and we have to work for them, but thats what its all about. although i do sometimes wish i could get on somewhere that held big numbers, just for the experience. cheers mate. atb
  11. just keep at em rocky mate. thats all you can do. plus it a bit of sport aswell
  12. looks like a good day was had by all, dogs and people alike. atb
  13. thought id nip down and have a quick check round some new allotments iv just gained permission on, but thought id go and throw a bit of bait in the top penn of my usual permission. in went a few slices of stale bread, and off we went to the other side of the site. we had a quick look round, but didnt see anything, so decided to check around the bottom shed, where we had seen rats in the last few days. on arrival i noticed a big rat dart under a sheet of plywood that the drinking buckets sit on. i waited for a few seconds before a little face peeped out, the shot off to safety down a burrow.
  14. ive got one. i dont rate it at all. ive gone back to the old chainsaw smokers. the rat attack dosent seem to bolt the rats as good as the chainsaw/srimmer engines. crap.
  15. i am absolutly amazed by everyone on this forum. what a great bunch of lads. not just this thread, but others. shay has personally helped me out before today he is a top bloke.this just goes to show, what goes around comes around. and for the scum bag that did this i hope it was worth it. because everyone will know what you are now. well done lads. this country could do with more of you. atb
  16. edgar 75. how much are they worth in good condition. (synthetic stock) this one is not in great condition, and also has a problem that needs rectifying. it wont cock when held the right way up, but will cock when upside down. i dont think this would be a massive problem to put right. thing is, is it worth spending any time and money on it??????? also how are these rifles in genral.????? cheers in advance.
  17. depending where you are, you could dig a hole and bury em, or you could burn them. like i say it all depends where you are.

    1 boy 2 kittens

that has to be one of the worst things ive seen, and i didnt even watch it all. as soon as i knew what he was going to do i turned it off. the lad cant be wired up right. he needs to be in an institution somewhere. the freak.
  19. couple of days in most cases. when you get him/her home just give em a quick check over, some of the bites might not be obvious at first, under the chin or inside the lip. then give them a good rinse and a do with the tcp and all will be good.
